NFL Network will re-air our only claim to being a legitimate franchise. It will air on Thursday July 3rd at 8PM. Set your TiVO.
Fantastic show. I've started collecting them all. Right now I've got the '72/'73 Phins and '86/'91 Giants DVDs from Amazon. I don't know if the Jets one is on DVD, but you can download it for $1.99 from Amazon (and I believe iTunes). Can't post a link as I don't have 50 posts yet.
Why not just buy the entire set? I did. My favorites: 1968 Jets 1975 Steelers 1983 Raiders 1984 49ers 1985 Bears
The guy wrote, "I've started collecting them all." If he buys the entire set as it is sold in one package, he will save himself a lot of money than just buying everything separately.
^ Fair enough.. But for someone like myself, it's still a lot easier to pay $1.99 to buy one every week or so, than to shell out $60 for them all at once...
Oh, if you can do that, then that's the way to go. I'm not into the whole iTunes game. I'm old school. I like CDs and DVDs. The 1991 Redskins is another one that I found to be particularly good. All of the ones I have seen are good. I believe I have watched more than 20 of them in full. The 1989 49ers one was my least favorite. I never liked George Seifert and he got a lot of love in that documentary. The ending of that one made me want to puke.
I am assuming you mean our Super Bowl III. But are you also saying that winning a super bowl is the only way one can claim to be a legitimate franchise? I think the Vikings and the Bills might have something to say about that.
^ I think the point was that SBIII was the only thing WE had done to legitimize our status as an NFL franchise.... I don't agree with the point necessarily... But that's how I interpreted it...
You maybe right, but I do not think any Jet fan needs to be reminded that we have only won one Super Bowl.
I am not sure that a Jet fan needs to post regularly to know that Jet fans are aware of the Jets history of mediocrity. But I get your point Seafood.
I was referring to the fact that if you post here regularly you know approximately how many days it's been since Super Bowl III.
This is a great show, you'll love it. Narrated by gravel voice Alec Baldwin who lends a real edge to the programme and brilliant interviews of behind the scenes with Gerry Philbin, Don Maynard and Joe. I cried at the end.
