I don't think it would be a wasted pick at all. The guy's character is questionable, yes, but at 29 he's worth the risk. Justice, IMO, has the ability to be just as good as D'Brickshaw Ferguson. I'm not saying he's the safe pick, but I don't think he's as big a risk as you might think. -X-
If Winston Justice made it to 29 that would be great. The only reason this could happen is if teams really shy away from him because of his off the field issues. With that being said even if he made it to the 29 I doubt out front office would draft someone as immature as him.
Waitaminnut...he improved his stock, and yet would be a good pick at 29? Are they suggesting he was previously no more than a 2nd rounder at best? I dont buy it either way, I think hell be long gone by 29
From all the interviews I have seen him in, he has conducted himself very well. He said he has matured from his incident a year ago. (not sure what happened...I thought it had something to do with a toy gun or something) He would be a heist at 29.
there's no way he lasts until #29. but if he's there, we'd be fools not to take him; especially if Brick isn't our #4 pick. Jones+Justice = lots of potential, and if they both pan out, we're straight for years. cheers
wow...first time poster here. I'm from San Diego and have been a fan of the Jets only when you guys don't play my beloved Bolts of course. Goodluck with Brian Schottenheimer - he was a great QB coach while he was under the tutelage of his father and of course Cam Cameron. I'm surprised you guys want Justice when you can get DBrick at #4. We in fact want Justice @ #19..but we think he's gone and may have to settle for a Corner or McNeil OL from Auburn or Andrew Whitworth from LSU. You guys could get D Brick and probably a RB to replace ol Curtis Martin when he's ready to hang up the cleats. Comments? Goodluck in 06...peace.
Justice is not going to last to 29... he's the second best tackle in this draft and will be gone by 16 at the latest. Would be an out of this world pick though...
