this post be Peter Abraham sums it up pretty well, and its probably what teams are going to start to try and do against him now that he's thrown a few games and scouting reports are coming out: http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/06/12/as-go-the-other-way-yankees-run-in-place/
I saw him play for the River Cats this tyear he had some good games but he falls asleep in some games but that could change with maturity .
Ugh, hopefully this is something Eiland can work with him on and fix. Why is pitching always so hard for the Yankees to solidify?
very simple answer my friend. Cashman brings in lousy pitchers and stottlemyre was a complete clown and now it looks as if eiland is no better.
Fun time tonight if you were at the game. Pettitte started iffy and had me thinking he would be 5 and out. He got much stronger as the game went on, and the Yanks gave him some much needed support when Matsui decided to unload on that Blanton pitch. There were almost as many Yankee fans at the stadium. When Matsui hit the Grand Slam, the whole stadium erupted. On the way out of the game, the entire entrance was crowded with Yankee fans screaming "lets go Yankees!" Fun time tonight. Something hilarious, and I wish I had pictures to show for it. Giese was spotted right before game time walking from the dugout to the bullpen wearing a giant pink backpack on his back. I almost shit my pants like jonnyd. Great hazing by the Yankee veterans!
