He was never great but he was pretty sick when he was healthy and could run when he was on the marlins. The guy used to steal anywhere from 40-60 bases in a season and wouldnt ever strike out
He was never a prolific base stealer. He always managed to steal 40 or so bases a year, while getting caught about 20-25 times a year as well. At best, this guy was a slap hitter with a great glove.
willie randolph tommy herr roberto alomar jose valentin luis castillo where have you gone edgardo alfonso
Castillo was never great but he was certainly a good 2nd baseman for some pretty good teams. Carlos Baerga and Robbie Alomar were great 2nd baseman before putting on the Mets uniform though.
It will be a miracle if Anderson doesn't cost the Mets at least a run or two in leftfield in this game, especially if Johan gives up hard-hit balls. I didn't hear the full text of what Wright was saying, but the sense I got was that there was more trouble in the clubhouse. Nice to see players rallying together in a tough time. This team seems to be going straight down the toilet.
More terrible defensive play, now by Beltran and Wright, costs the Mets. When you're hitting like they are, you can't give away plays like this.
willie with another idiotic decision how the fuck do you pitch to chipper there gotta be fucking kidding me
