He was better in college than KC. He has the size and decent arm strength, I say give him a try. I believe he is the best QB we have on the roster. No he won't get us to the SB or maybe even the playoffs but then no one thought Brady would turn out the way he did.

On paper this kid is better than Brady was in college.

I remember how bad our offense looked under CP & KC and anything would be an improvement.

Even the great Aikman went 0-15 his first year. Peyton went 3-13 his 1st season. I'm willing to forego a bad to average season it it will give hope to the future. None of our veteran QBs will ever lead us anywere but to the top of the draft order.

If Brady was statistically so much worse than this rookie when Brady was in college, what in the devil do you think made him get so good so fast?

    a nitpick...

Aikman went 0-11 as a rookie starter. The Cowboys other 1st round pick (supplemental draft), Steve Walsh, started the other five games. The Cowboys went 1-4 with Walsh as the starter.

If there is one thing history has taught us about quarterbacks, it is; college is a direct representation of what you will be capable of for the rest of your life. It’s a pretty simple equation:

Great college = greater NFL career (guarantee)
Average or lackluster college career = Life of emptiness, failure and inconsistency in the NFL (guarantee)

Based on what he has done so far – I don’t think the Jets should waste any time of money even trying to sign him. His path is set in stone already.

besides - we already have Chad...what more could we possibly need?

Okay, so Aikman went 0-15 and Manning went 3-13 but it's okay to give up on Clemens at 3-4... right.

Clemens looked lost on the field. After two years in the NFL I think his draft stock would have dropped significantly. We couldn't trade this kid for a fifth round pick.

I will say he is better than Chad but they both suck. We tried to trade up to get Flacco for a reason. If we had gotten Flacco all the CP & KC fans would be jumping ship, but no we are left with a never was and a never will be. KC reminds me of Browning Nagle but shorter.

How did we trade up for Flacco when he was chosen 12 picks before our trade up?... i think that rumor is BS.

Erik Ainge threw 31 TD.s and only ten INT's in the SEC his senior year..We are talking about the best college football conference in America and no one try and argue that point. The SEC is the NFL farm system for real. The kid needs work understood, but the boy has skills with those stats in the football's version of triple A baseball that is The SEC..just sayin

That's right. I wasn't really nitpicking Abyzmul. I know he was just repeating what that other poster wrote. I didn't want to see the wrong numbers get posted again. I'd rather see this board have correct numbers.
Let Dolphins, Patriots, and Cowboys boards be filled with misinformation and stupidity.
