Are you a Pats fan? Faneca had been to 8 pro bowls, yet Mankins is better? Jones is better than Maroney who only had 1 solid season, but so have Leon and Pace (in 3-4) pretty much but your comparing them to veterans. You are either extremely pessimistic of a Pats fan.
yes. Please do. Remember I said equal to or better. Dr.Z had Mangold rated the 4th best center in the NFL right now. Jenkins is Wilforks equal, if not better. Maroney didn't run hard until the playoffs. I bet 28 out of 30 teams would take Leon Washington over Faulk, i put TE down as a position because I would take our 3 over their 3 easily, Light is better than Dbrick right now but Dbrick isn't a finished product, mankins is not better than Faneca. Not even close.I don't think Vrabel and Pace will play the same position and Pace is younger and faster.
jenkins is not wilforks equal. jenkins is a 1 gap dt and wilfork is a 2 gap nt. lets see how jenkins adjust to playing a 2 gap before you call him equal, and as far as faneca better than Mankins I don't think so. But i forget this is May and its the only time of the year you jets fans can even have a glimmer of hope for the playoffs. because we all know once the season start that dream fades faster than a winter sun
The "gap" between Tom Brady and ANYONE we put behind center is huge. The "gap" between Randy Moss and ANY wide receiver on our roster is huge.
So I guess we are the same as everyone else, because only one team has those 2 and still didn't win the Super Bowl.
What would you say the gap is between Tom Brady and Eli Manning? How about the Giants' receiving corps and the Patriots' receiving corps? The gap is overrated.
