I think people underestimate how easily if the jets want to trade up they can, Saints want brick or mario, if when they are on the clock and the jets havent made a trade yet and call up and say well give u the 4th and our 2nd for ur 2nd overall. why wouldnt the saints pick up a extra second round pick and still take thier guy? The titans are taking a qb.

Because who's to say that you guys wouldn't take D'Brick in a trade up? What assurance to they have? How do they know you guys won't trade up and then trade the pick immediately after?

    I agree, that move won't happen with a 4th and a 34th - at least I don't think so.

I think that's his point though. If we trade up, it will be for Matt Leinart. BUT if we trade up to take Ferguson or Mario then there is a 99% chance Tennessee takes Leinart leaving New Orleans whoever is left between Mario and Ferguson and an extra pick. Either way, whoever is at #4 is going to get either Mario or Ferguson because Leinart and Bush are going in the top 3.

I think the Saints are a lot like the Jets in that they don't really have a preference between those two players so why not get whichever is left and an extra pick? Plus they are in a better position to draft the player they need, AJ Hawk.

That aint even the stupidest part. How about Taitusi Lutui in the top 20? He is a guard and projected 2nd-3rd round pick. Or Darryl Tapp in the first round? I love the dude, but he aint going that high. And WTF is up with Jimmy "F." Williams?

If the jets are going to trade up and pick leinart they should give them #4 and the jets first next year(hopefully it wont be top 10). If we trade our 29th or 35th(not likely theyll take it) we will be missing either a tackle which we only have 1 as of now or a DE/OLB which is very important in the 3-4 if we choose to use that defense.

    not to mention a center.

So I see your point and it makes sense to me, except I think we should def. try to trade the #29 this year instead of the 1st next year because think about it. What are the odds that we are going to have a higher first round pick than #29 next year or for the next several years for that matter? We ain't going to the Super Bowl so there is about a 99% chance that next years pick will have a much higher value to us. Therefore, we should try to trade the #29 or #35 if anything.

That's a really good fantasy draft. But if the Saints actually trade the #2 pick for only the #4 and the #34 the NFL should just contract them.

I would love if we could get the #2 for #35 and #4, but that's likely not happening. Also Mario Williams and Chad Jackson won't fall that far down and Luiti likely won't go that high.

That's not bad... Ryans would be a good pick for us!

NO trades to 4 and then takes Vernon Davis over AJ Hawk and Mario Williams? No way... and I have no clue why the hell Denver is taking Cutler.

I wouldn't mind that trade though.

i still dont understand why people think NO will take mario williams.....

they have two very, very good DE's already on the roster. if they trade down they will either be takign d'brick (their first choice IMO) or hawk, who is arguably the best defensive player in the draft behind mario.

new orleans taking mario williams would be like us taking bryan thomas while we already have ellis and abraham on the team with ed reed still on the board........

When you have as many spots to fill as us, about the only way to go wrong would be by taking 2 or more Wide Receivers.
