This year, maybe a 1% chance.

This year I think it would be slim to none, but next year I could definitely see it happening (especially if Clemens plays poorly)

no chance in hell unless chad and clemens get hit by a bus, but even then we would probably find someone else.

Hey...at least our team will be fun to watch in the pre-season.

It's sad that this is even a question. Even if it is an absurd one.

I would assume (hope) that, even if there is a competition this year, it's Clemens' job to lose.

Then, with a full 16 game season under his belt, Clemens will have proven, one way or the other, whether he has what it takes to be this team's QB.

If the CS is unsure of Clemens at the end of 2008, I'd like to see Ainge given an opportunity to win the job in 2009.

Ya there is no chance with the two titans we have in front of him.

And what they lack in potential they make up for in durablity.

By getting Ainge, we move Brad Smith out of that position.

Brad Smith was never a quarterback for the Jets. He's a WR, that's lined up behind center during gadget plays in certain situations so far in his YOUNG career.

This is his third season as an NFL wideout. This is supposed to be the year where he puts it all together and emerges.
