I think we can all agree that that was a good Wright at bat. Nice to see him come back from down 0-2.

Beltran smokes it but Blanco runs it down.

Since I'm new, might as well ask it here, anyone heading to see the Jets saying farewell to Shea on Monday night?

Shame Citi Field is to be a single-sport stadium and the Jets had to stay in Jersey after the West Side Stadium fell through, be nice if the Jets returned to Queens/Long Island once more.

Great catch, and good thing it didn't become another Camerron/Beltran, or Church's collision in ST

Great catch by Church - hope he's okay.

Schoeneweis barely manages to not get totally destroyed. Lucky break for the Mets.

    Welcome aboard.

Not going to Shea on Monday (the students in my 6-9 PM class that night might object). I don't really agree about the one-sport thing - my only objection to CitiField is that it will have about 13000 fewer seats than Shea, so I don't know how often I'll have the chance to go. Multisport stadia are a thing of the past, which I think is a good thing.

trying to sneak show past a righty or two is fine, i guess, if it's the bottom of the order, but not the middle please.

Nice HR, interesting that he didn't come out for a curtain call. Be the first sign of him showing actual "frustration" with his situation.

Delgado obviously agrees with you, as he refused to do it.

    Where do you teach?

Yeah I hear you about the multi-sport stadia, and it does resolve alot of the scheduling issues of teams in September/October. Plus if one team is playing at night, and the stadia are close enough to each other, they make for a great baseball/football double header for a Sunday.

Think it's more that I'd like the Jets to be closer to their original home base as opposed to out in the midst of "nowhere" sharing a stadium with the Giants.

Oh sure Jet fans are able to GET to East Rutherford, it's just seems like the Jets in recent years are assimilating themselves into a New Jersey based team, I mean they are moving from Hofstra pretty soon for crying out loud!

I hate Delgado. Probably go 2 for his next 50 then hit 3 hr's in one game and still blame everything on the fans.

Does the curtain call situation really matter that much? Gary is acting like Delgado just kicked every fan's puppy.

Who cares? The only thing I care about right now is the Mets are winning this game.

Delgado's been stealing money from the Mets for the past 2 seasons and he hasn't exactly been upfront with the fans. He hides from the media and has never really tried to connect with the fans. Not going out for the curtain call shows he hates the fans.
