I think they really like Chansi Stuckey. They may believe he's ready to be the #3 WR. I sure hope so, cause Brad Smith is not a third receiver.

Is Stuckey even 100% back from his injury?

Stuckey's going to win the 3rd wideout spot.

it could also mean that the WRs aren't any good in this draft, since none went in the 1st round. It could also mean that Coles, Cotch, Smith plus Keller is just as dangerous as an added WR.

The wr's in this draft class are a crap shoot. Look how many are going in round 2.

Why not take the best tight end in the draft, he can be just as much of a playmaker then any wr.

I would say that there are few large enough, fast enough, or reliable enough WRs to worry about in these first two rounds.

The NYJs decided that Keller was the best receiving threat on the board and they moved up to get him. That says the WR crop is not exciting or reliable. They gave up their entire second round position.

I don't really think that Keller is a tight end. I think he is a big receiver that lines up iin the slot, goes in motion, or comes out of the backfield, or comes out of the tight end's position. But first and foremost he is a receiver that has to be treated as a tight end.

This is a mis-match opportunity of the Dallas Clark phenomenon that we can take a very interesting advantage of.

I'm happy with Keller. I agree that he can be the playmaker we need. I'm hoping Chansi Stuckey will be the 3rd WR we're hoping he could be. He's yet to take the field.

I really like Stuckey. Give him a shot.

We also have David Ball who supposedly has great hands.

I still love Stuckey, and have a feeling that if he can stay healthy he wins the #3 job and really impresses this upcoming pre-season and early on in the 08 season...

In defense of Brad Smith, I do not think that he has had the opportunity to prove himself. He's lined up as QB a couple of times, and WR a few times, but never really had the chance... I remember one TD pass to B. Smith though...can't remmeber which game...still, he deserves more of a chance to be thrown into the mix.

Dustin Keller will be our WR in many ways.

    It also reveals:

    1. This class of WR is very poor.
    2. They like Brad Smtih and/or Chansi Stuckey.

And that's good enough for me.

I would think Stuckey is the guy. Smith drops more passes than J-Mac did.

Lots of ways to get WRs besides the draft. If we are going into Game 1 with this roster, I'm very worried about our WR depth. But there's plenty of time.

I think it just means that they don;t see a WR in this draft that is any better than who we already have

and that is probably corret it it's the case....every WR in the draft has some pretty serious knocks......not even sure if any of the top ones are expected to be #1 WRs.

We need a replacement for COles, not Jerricho......or a #3 like Chris Henry (who is available).....Stuckey is little, a role guy, not a gamebreaker.
