Matt Ryan threw 19 INT''s in college last season. How many would he throw in the NFL? I would take somebody like David Garrard any day over Matt Ryan. I mean, I am impressed by watching him on film, but the INT's are a legitimate concern.

I heard Mayock dismiss this by saying he tried to "force things" too much at BC due to the lack of talent around him. I am not sure that is a good excuse.

I agree with the gamesmanship claim. The Jets brass are just trying to plant seeds before the draft. Clemens didn't play all that much last season, and when he did he was running for his life.

He wasn't perfect, too many passes in the dirt, happy feet at times. But he also made some nice throws and showed grit. He didn't curl up in the fetal position at any hint of pressure like chad.

hey don curtis should sue pennington for ruining his knee`s, if you cant throw ten yards up field everyone plays on the line. Making it impossible to run and causing the line to regress because they are constantly over run. Besides how far have we gotten with him? Its time to put him in the past! Yes he is a great human being, but he is at best an average quaterback at this point, without an upside!

i'd give clemens another start. if he'd be able to beat chad in camp the jobs his and providing we give him a decent running attack. we cant blame the line for everything.

Ummmmm...Reminder, He LIT UP inferior competition in the preseason last year.

And played spotty in the regular season with no OL.

That Tells you he can probably be AT LEAST a servicable starter, with a decent cast.

Yes we can. It's largely at fault. No question about it.

Clemens didn't have any of those? he had at least 2 that I can remember, one of which cost us a chance to beat NE.

I still like Clemens and I am not ready to give up on him BUT Chad gives us the best chance to win. That was Chad's first bad season but w/ all the new improvements I expect we'll see a much better Chad BUT if Kellen can beat him out in camp I'd expect a much better KC. I cannot say I am confident in KC after his dreadful performance last year but it is still early to make a final judgement.

This is correct. So the 2006 comeback player of the year lost his job for no reason.
