When Peca was captain didn't the Isles go to the playoffs? With Yashin as captain don't they kinda suck? You might call it unbalanced reporting, others might say it's dead on. Look at what Yashin is making and look at his numbers. The guy has been a huge, huge underachiever as an Icelander, and that's putting it nicely. Tranlslating that statement to something that sounds more like a NY sports fan, he f'ing blows.

Cimini is the best and most credible Jet reporter.

You're wrong about Cannizarro in one respect. He was first to write that Mangini was the Jets coach if he wanted the job but he lags far behind most other beat reporters in terms of getting out news in a timely manner.

Here's my problem with Mark and it has more to do with his paper than him. His "reporting" the team is so pro mgmt whether it is the coach or the organization that you don't get an objective view of the team from him.

Its the same way George King covers the Yankees or the way Serby covers any NY team.

Jet fans who claim that MC is a Herm boot licker should note that he's now doing the same thing with Mangini. I really believe Post editors strongly encourage their reporters to overinflate the state of the teams they're covering.

:eek:fftopic: When I look at his numbers I see a guy who is not worth his contract but is still the best player on his team. For the last 3 years he floated at times but since he's become captain he's really been one of the hardest workers on the team. But I digress.

The problem with Hahn is that he writes articles ripping Yashin almost exclusively when he has nothing else to write. Not when Yashin's screwing up.

Well, he was first to write the Mangingi was the #1 choice by days. First to write that Mangini would be the new head coach by a few hours (at least it was posted on the post's website first) and same for the GM situation.

I've checked the time's on the websites postings just to see who was first because I know how often Cannizarro gets bashed for his reporting.
