Here's the opinion of a Falcon fan I just made this account so I could make a similar thread, but it told me I had to have 50 posts first, lol...oh well. But here's my take. The Falcons want Glenn Dorsey badly, so if he's there that's who we'll take. But if the Rams snag him first, I think the Falcons' priority will be to trade down. If they can't, then they'll settle for Matt Ryan...but the Falcons are VERY high on Brian Brohm and they feel they can get him in the second round. Since you guys are so high on McFadden, it would make sense to trade us your 6th pick and maybe a second rounder for our 3rd pick, thus preventing Oakland from getting to D-Mac before you guys can. This trade would be perfect for the Falcons because then they could still fill their need for a DT by drafting Sedrick Ellis at #6, then taking Brohm (or Flacco) early in the 2nd round, and even after that they'd still have 3 picks left in the 2nd round. As an Atlanta fan, hopefully Dorsey will be there for us, but if not, don't be surprised if GM Thomas Dimitroff comes calling to you guys.
And I hope to God we hang up. I don't think we're high enough on McFadden, or in the right position needs-wise, to trade up to Atlanta's spot. Our next pick would be in the 4th round, and we wouldn't have addressed a single need. No one is certain what Oakland's going to do, and with Dorsey gone at 2, the odds are in our favor that one of our preferred picks will be available at 6. I agree it would be a fantastic trade for you, but horrible for the Jets.
Ahh I didn't realize ya'll had so few early picks. You're right, probably wouldn't be a good move for the Jets...unless your GM is just apeshit for McFadden, lol.
