Jets on First Take this morning...

    I am watching Mike and Mike in the morning on EPSN 2 and they just had a commercial on, saying that on First Take (10-2) they are going to discuss the Jets, and if a certain player is available they would snatch them up in a heartbeat. It also is coming with the tagline "Jets to make Surprise pick?"

    just thought others would like to know its on... especially since I have class 10:45-1 so I will likely miss it, and I would like somebody to tell me what is said...

    well it appears as though the Jets won't be coming up in first down, as the topics are Spurs-Suns, Mavs-Hornets, and Jake Long....

    The Jets are doing an excellent job of saying they are going to pick every player in the draft.

    oh dear god, not a punter.... lol but yeah I agree we are linked to everybody in the top 20 at the moment, from trading up to down, to around the world! god Saturday can't get here fast enough. honestly I cant see St louis moving down, the highest up we could go is to the Falcons at 3 if dorsey is gone...

    what happened, watched a little bit and all i saw was 5 seconds of saying "Jets want to trade up to draft McFaddden", anything else?

    It was about DMC... He thinks he's going to be a Jet... and then one of the reporters said the jets May trade up to grab him.....

    I wouldn't mind picking McFadden at 6, but if we trade up for him, I may have to hurt someone. . .

    what if they traded up to 4 and gave oakland coleman, like the rumors are reporting? would u still hurt someone?

    I would give a 3rd for that. He thinks he speaks for all Jet fans, like we voted him in or something. What a fool!!!

    We have other needs, we dont need to be trading our 2nd round pick potentially to move up and draft McFadden. If hes there at 6 I would love to have him.

    For McFadden kinda, I'd hope that if we traded up it would be for a pass rush. . . IMO pass rush is a much bigger need than another RB

    also if we traded Coleman, while truly not that big of a loss to our defense, it would be an issue, because we have no one behind him as depth to step in and start... who would be our 3-4 end that starts opposite Ellis? C.J. Mosely? Mosely has proven he is solid in a rotation, but i doubt he would be decent as a fulltime starter....

    Is it the same ESPN source that reported that Pace signed with the Dolphins??

    Just on that pretense alone makes me think that the JETS will NOT trade up for DMAC...hell, if he's there when we pick at 6..GREAT...if not...he isn't worth trading up for....

    my 2 cents.
