I like the NFL how it is. I love the division between the Bills, Fins, Jets, and Pats the best because its always a battle to dethrone the Pats. Once thats finished... the rivalry between these 4 teams will be strong.

If I had to guess which team would move to LA it would have to be the Vikings. They have stadium/money problems right now and it doesn't look like they're going to be able to build a new stadium anytime soon because the Minnesota government wont support public funding of a new stadium. Plus LA has already gotten a Minnesota team in the past (Lakers) so maybe history repeats itself?

Anyway, I live in LA and although I wouldn't mind an LA team, but I probably wouldn't go watch their games unless the Jets were playing there, or the Vikings came. It would be awesome to see AD break records in person. I have to agree with the negative talk about LA sports fans though. In my experience most of them seem like massive bandwagons who really only care when a team is winning.

When did Buffalo get a new stadium? Last I heard once the current owner kicks the bucket the team is up for grabs.

Apparently Buffalo's Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker and Rochesters Tom Golisano have a plan up their sleeve and already have ANOTHER private buyer . Kelly proposed a new DOME stadium downtown which sucks for Buffalo due to their weather advantage with a seating of 65,000 to 70,000.

Whats up with the Jets and Giants stadium issues? Are the Jets keeping the Meadowlands?

well, i thought I might shed some light on this thread given I live in CA and I have heard all the rumors going around. Sadly, it sounds like the San Francisco 49ers are going to be packing their bags and moving to So Cal. Instead of their proposal to move into Santa Clara next to Great America Theme Park, they have a interest in taking their franchise to the most populated part of California. Not really sure this is the best idea for a franchise with such a rich history in SF, but it looks like its a business decision for York and the Co.

If the 49ers moved, it'd have to be the CA 49ers. There's no way they could go with the LA 49ers...

    This is ridiculous

How far is San Fran from Clara or w/e

If its 10-25 miles then whatever

but if its over that... that is ridiculous for a franchise with history

that goes for all the original teams

The Jags problem is playing in a poor city. Move them to Orlando and they would fare much better.

The NFL would never do it because the Glazer family would cry about there Bucs.

    No, seriously NOOOO!!!

Do you want the NFL to turn into the NBA? The NFL is watered down as it is, there are too MANY teams. More teams=less talent on the field=not a good product.

Most sports cities are filled w/ fairweather ans including NY. Did you see how many empty seats there were at jet games last year? Think back to before the Yankees were a playoff team every year, think back a few years ago for the Mets. When the teams win we fill buildings but when they lose we don't, it's like that in most sports Cities. Certain Cities have problems selling out even when teams are good like Miami and Atlanta but LA is the #2 market and the NFL wants to get back in there. There will be a team in LA at some point, I just hope a team moves there rather than another expansion team.

California is also alot bigger than Florida.

Land and population wise yes...But follow me on this...

By TV markets(and TV rules the NFL), LA is #2, SF BAy is #6and Sacremento area is 20

    Florida has 13(Miami) 16(Tampa) 19(Orlando)

    38(West Palm) 63 (Ft Myers)

I only included the final 2 because Cali does not appear again until 128

SD is #27 and the Bay area has 2 teams, LA would have 1 and SD has 1.

Orlando is not #19, it's Orlando-Daytona-Melboure. That's a HUGE stretch of land. Orlando has barely supporetd the Magic in a tiny arena over the years, Jax doesn't support the Jags and Miami has trouble selling out in every sport.

A good team in LA would be among the most profitable in the sport, like the lakers or the angels and dodgers, A bad team would be below average, but still more profitable than No, JAx or Minny are right now, even when the Rams and raiders were terrible they weren't among the five worst in attendance. the TV market is huge, noone otherthan NY is close, and as the only NFl team it would draw a lot of attention for the first few years, the collesium's biggest problem was it wasn't really a modern NFL stadium, it lacked luxury boxes for one which bring in tons of money. Especially in LA where every major production company and Agency would be in a rush to snap them up.

I'm with Sciko. As long as Al Davis is alive, and there is money to be made, he'd move back to LA in a heartbeat.
