He is scheduled to visit seven teams who have expressed intrested in him. The six-foot-3, 250-pounder visited Cleveland last month, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati earlier this week, and he is scheduled to visit the Giants, Jets, Patriots and 49ers next week. only if we don't take gholston.but pete prisco says alot of scouts are calling him soft take it for what its worth
Groves is actually alot quicker and faster than gholston. Gholston however has better size, agility and power.
Man, I was so pumped about Groves at the beginning of this year cause I knew he would be a perfect fit in a 3-4. So I watch Auburn games all year long in hopes of seeing the next DWare, but I saw nothing. This kid is soft. People on this board say that Gholston takes plays off? Watch Groves. I wouldn't take him in the 2nd.
Don't be supprised if Pittsburgh already has the replacement for Alan on thier squad. They seem to be verey adept at plugging holes a year or two in advance due to great scouting, drafting, and developing of players.
I ahree about Pitt and OL development. What worries me about Groves are the shuttle times, they seem to indicate poor agility. Isthe word that he is completely healthy or is he still partially recovering?
Eh...I'd say on the field I like Groves' agility better than Gholstons. I think Groves has become one of the most underrated players in this draft...he's a top 10 talent who dominated the few games he was healthy for his senior year...tried to come back early from 3 dislocated toes AND learn a new position...injuries and that position switched ruined what should have been a season that cemented his top 10 status...I don't doubt if he was healthy for his senior year that he would have been a top 5 pick and we'd be debating Long, Gholston, Harvey, and Groves. He's a very fluid athlete, deceptively powerful, excellent technique, highly intelligent, highly productive, and IMO is the top pass rusher in the draft.

Yup, Groves has more polished pass-rushing skills than Gholston. Gholston has the edge in terms of strength and his ability to simply overpower tackles. Groves is no slouch strength-wise mind you; Gholston is just a monster. I prefer Groves to Gholston because I think, at worst, Groves will be a capable 3rd down pass-rusher. Gholston is a boom or bust player IMHO. I'd be ecstatic if we take Run DMC in Round 1 and then follow that up with Groves in the 2nd. That'd be absolute grand larceny as far as I'm concerned. This has nothing to do with the fact that I've rocked a Groves avatar for the last five months
