I heard him on the Fan and see him on NFL Network all the time and believe he does a great job. We know he does not like DMC but he is probably the only one. I heard Charley Casserly on NFLN about a week or so ago and he polled 21 GM's and all had DMC as the #1 player on their boards. We take DMC at #6 and you won't hear me complain

i am a firm believer that defense wins championships. i am also a firm believer that we need to put together a pass rush. i was not a big supporter of us taking dmc, at #6, but if he is the game breaker everyone's saying he is, i'm hoping we do get him. i can't remember the last time we had anyone we could call a game changing player.
You draft Mcfadden and you severley limit one of ourbest players...Leon Washington. Don't we have bigger needs??
You get the feeling that the NFL Network is promoting Mike Mayock as kind of their branded answer to ESPN's Mel Kiper. They've got a ways to go, it seems like.

yeah mayock is their kiper, but he needs to build a track record before he is well respected. They seem to give Charles Davis the same gig around this time but to me he isn't as insightful as the other pundits. Todd McShay is getting well known quick. Not only for the exposure through ESPN but because he's saying all the right things. The beauty of these guys is that if they are 25% correct in the 1st round, and get the top 10 almost perfect, they are geniuses. I'd love to have that job- be wrong almost all the time and get respect and paid for it... awesome.
bingo. its almost like people forgot about him. he made some killer plays behind our much weaker o-line. Mangini and myself cannot wait to see what he does behind this one.

Why? Is this the last draft in the history of the NFL? There will no running backs available ever again???? There is very little adjustment for college running backs coming into the NFL. RBs usually have it or they don't and can usually play their rookie year. The Jets can draft a running back in 2009 or 2010 or in any future year.
I think it's about Mike Mayock now predicting that we'll be taking Darren McFadden with the 6th pick. I just saw his picks scroll by on the bottom line on NFL Network.
Sorry, this dude may be an expert, but I can't stand listening to Mayock......I can't get over that LISP...........dude sounds like Sylvester the Cat.....I mean DAMN!!!........and seems that his fav phrase about any defensive player is " He Flips His Hips" ..which comes out as " He Flipstss Hisss Hippssts"....Hell idunno....maybe it's just me.
