I didn't see an announcement except for the Giants game and the early Mon Night Game but they have a poll at NFL.com asking which prime time game are fans most looking forward to so I guess they finalized the opening week prime time sched? Thursday Night: Washington at NY Giants Sunday Night: Chicago at Indianapolis Monday Night: Minny at GB and Den at Oak http://www.nfl.com/
Who in the hell decided to show Denver at Oakland as a Monday Night Football opener? I guess they got tired of reading Raiderjoe's fan mail.
How do the Raiders constantly pull this 2nd MNF game every year.........Its becoming a tradition, especially when they always get blown out in these games. Vikings seem to always get the 1st MNF too every year.
I don't see the Patriots on that list. I hope we don't play them Week 1 again. I like being undefeated for atleast a week.
Ill stick with my hunch that we are going to be at San Fran to open the year up. NFL likes to put the similar record teams together to open the year and I can defintely see us playing at 4:15 on CBS to open the year. SF would be a very nice team to open up with too, so many Q's with them, just gotta watch out for Gore and Willis. Could be at Seattle but I dont think they would throw us to the wolves just yet......
CBS doesn't have 4:15 games in Week 1 because they have the US Open Men's final in that slot every year.
Bah who watches the US Open on opening day???? hmy: Yeah I can see a FOX move. I know the Jets can still play at home, but I think it'd rather be avoided because of the shape of the field and everything. Besides, I'd like to get the west coast trip as soon as possible and as early as can be so it doesnt hamper anyone.
I agree the west coast trip early in the season when everyone is fresh is good!! Hopefully they're starting there!!
The only Jets games televised by FOX will be in New Jersey against the Rams and Cardinals. Their games at San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland, and Seattle will be televised by CBS (or ESPN, NBC, or NFLN if chosen as a primetime game).
Maybe it just seems that way. Last year the Vikings hosted Atlanta in the 1:00 time slot. The Raiders hosted the Lions in a late afternoon game.
Correct. In AFC vs NFC games, the visiting team decides what network gets the game(AFC-CBS...NFC-FOX)
