Well, LC was disadvantaged a little bit by injuries this year, in case you may have let that slip your mind.

And LC, by the way, was also used quite often to run a downfield fly (he's the fastest receiver we have got, by the way, in case you forgot) as a decoy so that the intermediate and short routes would get a chance to be open.

LC is a man, and he wants to be treated as such. So, the FO / CS did. I am very happy about the way it came out today.

I have a feeling that they did some of those sophisticated tests that they do with the player's brain and showed him that instead of being in the 25th percentile his results were now in the 60th percentile, so two years is a good time frame to determine how fast his proclivity for imbicility progresses. The NYJ doctor would say, if the proclivity doesn't progress, then hell LC, go for it, but if it does progress, LC, then the next two years are guaranteed, come hell or high water.

This is a fair assessment of the man's faith in his team, and belief in himself.

So much drama in the offseason...!

    Whew!!!!

Unfortunately being a classy guy doesn't make one a good QB.

A good QB is made by his team, not by his invention.

The jury is still out on Vince Young by the way.

    Opps!

I didn't mean to forget to mention Eli -- the guy who made the biggest turnaround as a QB in the history of the SB.

There were a lot of people in New Jersey (My friend, Nick, was not alone!) who had already bought the wood for the cross for the crucifixion.

Last year was an awful year.

In 06' he threw one more TD than Int.

Out side of the '02 season I would not say any of the years were great years, but a few of the were very good ones.

Chad is a classy guy that has not won a playoff game since '04. He is often injured. Fair or not, classy does not win football games.

So now the press has decided that the NY Jets, and only the NY Jets, should not sign free agents because we would be giving millions to players that have done nothing for the franchise That's what free agency is!!!! But they should give money to players that helped them go 4-12. All because some unknown player criticized the orginization. And I love the millions that they gave Coles. Its just doesn't get better then this to illustrate the media slant when it comes to our team. I am not even mentioning Chad's performance and injury history which of course might give some levity into the Jets thinking. Un freakin believable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He led us to 10 wins in 2006 despite no running game and no defense.

In 06 we ranked 18th in points scored and 6th in points allowed. In terms of yards we were 17th in passing yards and 20th in rushing yards. Fact is our passing game was almost as anemic as our running game. We actually ranked 9th in rushing TD and 22nd in passing TD's.

The NFL is not a tough league to pass on between the 20's and we were not that good at that and we were well below average in red zone scoring through the air but above average in rushing TD in the red zone in 06.

Chad could lead the team to the playoffs in 2008. With the new additions and the schedule, I could easily see that happening. He is a class act no doubt. And although he isn't the best QB, due to arm strength, he is still starter worthy in the NFL.

Great, great post because it's spot on. He may or may not be done as a member of the NYJ, but man, what a class act. If he's to be traded or cut, he would be the first ex-Jet I'd ever pulled for on another team. Even if he went to New England (ok, ok maybe not quite THAT extreme). He's been dealt some really crappy cards the past few years and I'd like for him to do well. If not in New York, then anywhere else.

Agreed. I can't think of any other player apart from Ken O'Brien that I've rooted for so hard to show everyone (including me) that they're wrong. I just don't think he's going to do it but I would be absolutely delighted if he did.

who, unlike Johnson, doesnt happen to be a top 10 player at his position.

lol what a douche. the situation hes in sucks but he knew what he was getting into coming out of surgery.

the chad johnson blurb is an obvious sign the writer had nothing else to give penny props for. so hes like, hey at least hes not bitching publicly. lol
