Vikings have a bigger need at both the safety and cornerback spots though. Their Pass D was still pretty rough. They would look at Kenny Phillips and Mike Jenkins IMO.

They signed a lineman to a big deal this offseason too I think.

I always wondered what the fuck that was. I thought maybe the mod edited something in the person's post when I saw nothing wrong with it. But I'm with u on this one.

IMO...this is very gay. But that's just MO.

Yea dude i mean he has the size, but wouldnt that be wasting his speed. I'd rather have him coming off the edge than stuck in a traffic jam in the middle of the field. IMO

    haha sorry i had to

smart pick especially if Gholston is not available in the first which is a possibility. I read on Walter that Campbell might go to the 5th round. I dont know how he would do as a rush linebacker but if he is available I might give it a go

the FO has no real idea how the draft will play out, who will still be on the board at #6, who may or may not be willing to trade up, and what the trade offer may be.

i'm certain the FO has 3,000 possibilities for what may happen, and each scenario involves different players. so checking out who may be there at 22 or 28 is a must 'just incase' mcfadden is there at #6 and the 'boys come calling.

very nice to see the jet's staff taking time to examine multiple players. this will give our FO the maximum info when making last second decsions.

like that qb who fell all the way to the 'cards. i wonder if they even researched him, since no body saw that coming.

Only way i see us getting Groves is in the 2nd round and i doubt he will still be there at 35,36.

my ideal 1st round, i really hope mcfadden falls and jerry jones wants him bad enough. Groves, Gosder, and Hardy with our first 3 picks? I'd be ecstatic

No the guy said ILB, I found it odd too.

But take it for what it's worth since it's third party information, but the guy had nice credentials and said the Jets were looking at Groves as a 3-4 ILB.

If the Jets FO somehow managed to draft Groves, Gosder, and Hardy I would start to cry and then go to church. I would then build a shrine to Tannenbaum on my front lawn.

he would actually be great at ILB. because ive seen him rotate even to interior DL in certain situations. the guy has a total tenacity about him once his blocks are engaged, if he doesnt throw a move at someone he goes to war to penetrate.

only coverage theyd ask him to do is zone or man on a FB. and the guy is quick enough. only question id have about the move is his read and react skills as a LB opposed to the trenches.

Same here. Groves is much stronger and more stout than people seem to give him credit for.

STILL, he's too good a pass rusher to put inside. Plus, I think if he played inside it'd be in certain packages, but thats cause I think they'll do that with both Pace and whoever we draft (Gholston, Groves, Crable, Avril, Long) at the DE/OLB position.

yeah, if he indeed has the ability to play inside, they may value him that much more because we know how much emphasis Mangini places on versatility.

The idea of Harris, who can get to the QB in his own right, surrounded by 3 legitimate pass rushers is intriguing. They would only do this if they were VERY happy with Thomas's improvement in pass coverage. Though, with those 4 LB's no QB would have time to throw.
