nahhh ... THIS POST SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN POSTED ... we may make it to the playoffs, we will not beat out the pats next year though. Peoples hopes are just going to be shot now.
People give too much credit to the Patriots. Theyre a bunch of lightweights- thats why they got upset by the hungrier and more blue collar NY Giants. Brady is one of the most overatted athletes in all of sports (rewatch his super bowl performance where his offensive line acted like a normal offensive line)- We will transform our defense into an elite unit with the selection of Gholston or McKelvin in the upcoming draft and we will make Brady wish he had chose a career of model dating over football.
is your argument teams never hit that mark specifically when predicted? or that a team that is predicted to go 12-4 doesn't come close. most division winners are predicted to go 12-4, and most either do, or go 13-3 or 11-5, which is pretty much comparable. sure, if your argument is that they never go 12-4 on the money, I guess your right. if the underlying meaning is that they aren't comparable to 12-4, you couldn't be more wrong.
PLEASE tell me what this gut is on so I make sure I stay away from it, We are not even close to the Pats yet.
The only thing silly about this is quoting a Rotowire blogger for his opinion. I'd sooner read Santanamossthegreat. At least he had humor. Can we PUH-leaase steer a thousand miles clear of grandiose predictions. If this happens, great; but it's the fahking failed expectations that have me most frustrated as a Jets fan!
12-4 is NOT crazy. scratch last season, and go back to 2006, mangini's FIRST season, the jets went 10-6 and beat NE in NE. now add in our new $150M of FAs, plus coleman, revis, harris, jones, smith, stuckey, miller, plus this year's draft (mcfadden? gholsten? long? keyshawn?) and the jets SHOULD win two more games. i have no problem with 2006 plus 2. 12-4 is hard but very doable for this squad.
