I was trying to point out the positives of the moves we have made and how it will make us better, my way of pointing out the positives instead of the nagatives which i have been reading ........ sheeeeesh
You may want to look at every move with the rose colored glasses. Chances are.. one or two of those moves will blow up in our faces. I'm just happy the team is spending and making an effort as opposed to bringing in college wrestlers to work out for the line.

4-12 season. The Jets go on a spending spree in free agency with a lot of risky names. The only real solid name in the big four is Alan Faneca. Jenkins has never played in a 3-4 defense before, so he's an unknown. Woody has hardly played right tackle in his career. Pace is an extremely risky signing based on his statistically output over his career and the size of his contract. I'm not being negative at all. I state the truth. The Jets have done nothing to deserve respect in the mainstream media. The fact that they haven't seen a Super Bowl since 1969 is just the icing on the cake. Show me what the Jets have done to deserve the respect you are saying that they aren't getting.
You know what I don't know what I was thinking . My post should have read like this. Writers give jets not respect because they suck ! They go and trade for a overweight defensive tackle , bad move because he sucks . They go and sign free agent Alan Faneca to a crazy deal , bad move he's gonna suck ! Sign Woody from the lions , who is an offensive guard to play right tackle , that move sucks . We got and get Pace from the cardinals who suck to play outside linebacker on our team which as you know sucks. We only get two good draft picks last year and it is only a matter of time before they suck. The picks we got in this years draft are not going to be any good because we suck at picking them. We got 2 quarterbacks who suck and young head coach who sucks and general manager who sucks. Damn we can't do anything right, everthing about us sucks. How the hell we ever going to get any respect when we suck so bad .We would be better off doing nothing because doing something just sucks .
I dont care about getting respect, but it would be nice if sportswriters actually put out quality and somewhat accurate information relating to whats going on with The Jets- But all their writing is misleading and inaccurate. And the tone of everything that guys like Cimini, Cannizaro and Yasinkas put out is all negative. And most of these guys could do a good job, theyre just lazy.
Why be worried about respect? What is the issue here? That the Patriots have Tom Brady, Colts have Peyton Manning and Chargers have LaDainian Tomlinson and they get on ESPN more than the Jets? I'd rather be the underdog than the one getting 15 minute spots every week on SportsCenter. You just need to look at the other New York team to understand what I'm saying.
yeah I just hate how its blantan disregard and here is and what is always the problem with the Jets, ever since KJ we have not had an explosive player or someone who runs his mouth a little. That is the only way the raiders got more attention because Randy Moss was doing shitty. This is why we need to draft an explosive player in the draft not an O-lineman a rush OLB, WR, or RB (Id prefer WR)

When the Jets made the playoffs in 06, the team got a lot of good press. Heck, the coach even got a spot on the Sopranos. Winning breeds respect. Just do it.
Firstly, You gotta recognize it's the media. I think the media is retarded when it comes to sports. Secondly, The Jets are a team to pick at. They were horrible last year and there going money crazy.
Seriously. I was surprised at how much respect the new CS got from the beat writers after the '06 season, mostly because the writers seemed immediately angry at the lack of info given to report in the offseason and then their agendas were stifled by the surprising immediate success the team had. Especially since most of the writers had predicted a slow and dismal start. They were salivating for a season like we had in '07 and will not change their tune until the team turns things around.
I'm going to slip towars the NHL. the Carolina Hurricanes in there stanley cup year had a 75-1 vote for winning the cup. If I put the numbers right, that means 1 person voted per 75 people. Let the media slam the Jets, We'll just wait to see what happens on the field.
