I will be in Rochester in August. If any Jets fans want to heckle the Bills training camp I am in!!!!!
ha... i was at that game... I was the only Jet fan behind the goalpost waving my jersey in the air after the OT return.
I moved down here 2 years ago. My house was in the village, and backed up to the hospital, but you could not smell sulfur at my house...we must have been upwind...
I live in Henrietta and would not want the Bills to move to Toronto, at least not yet. The last time I tried to go to Canada, I was refused @ the border for a DWI I got eight years ago. They said I had to wait ten years or apply for a special visa. One time I got hassled really bad by someone @ the Ralph. I saw him the next day @ a bowling alley in Rochester! He had no memory of the incident (yeah right).
personally i think people are over reacting to them playing games in toronto - the games will be non-conferance games most likely, and definitely non-division games - if anything, it makes the bills stronger, there is a huge untapped market, if you're the only team that plays in canada, you've got an entire country as your fan base - there is no way the bills move to toronto, even if every game sells out instantly, the way the nfl is setup won't allow it, with tv contracts and all, their main fan base has to be in the US, if they are going to move, it will be to somewhere else in the US - in the last 2 years, how many bills games weren't televised because the games were so hugely undersold ... take some of those games that aren't getting enough tickets sold, move them to toronto and they'll sell out - the bills suck I think overall people misunderstand the reason they are playing games in toronto, it's not about trying to move the team eventually.
I also heard that once they move out that the University of Buffalo would take over the "The Ralph" to upgrade there Div. 1 status. This would make a great Syracuse/UB "Thruway" rivalry
I'm not from Rochester. I just have always been a fan off Mean Joe. But I think the Bills are still the Bills, and I'm dying for the NYJ to kick their ass. Anytime. Anywhere.
Near Plesant street I assume? great place to grow up Phelps/Clifton Springs. Do/did you know Gary Husk? he runs the YMCA right down on Crane Street, great guy Gary is. How's Bama treating you? must be nice to be somewhere warm this time of year while us central New Yorkers are freezing our asses off.
chicago mayor daley has the usa bid for the 2014 olympics. he plans to build a stadium. he wants to emulate new york city and the bay area. he wants an afc team to go with the bears, just like the cubs and sox in mlb. i would say chicago has a better shot than los angeles.
why waste your time on them/ better to get all area jet fans together for a meal at dinosaur bbq restaurant.
