I haven't seen to many picks of importance concerning the defensive backs.I am sure that with 9 picks in the draft that the jets will look at the cornerback position.there are some very good ones available in the first three rounds.

I was hoping for the jets to get a veteran nickelback on the market. Who knows what is going on there since the CB market has been moving the slowest out of all of the positions. We can use another young corner. Not many rookie CB's start right away so I guess if they draft one in the 1st 3 rnds he could be a nickel. Stait is definitely not a nickel guy.

We should feel good about our defensive backfield. Its young and with the right coaching it can be very good.
All we need is a dimeback and one more backup safty and I think we are set.

Dyson is still on the market.... I don't think he's all that good, and that has something to do with why he's still an FA. Both he and Law think they are REAL pro-bowlers.... they aren't. I expect to see a CB taken in the first 4 rounds somewhere.... that's out of seven picks.

Uhh, strait is good but because of his speed he drops to a dime, if we get a good fast, young corner with upside he would probably take the nickel spot.

As of right now I am totally comfortable with Miller and Barrett as our starters.

Strait still has been a disapointment up until this point. It is quite obvious why Donny Henderson did not see him as a starter but only as a nickel back.
He seems to be our weak link but he is not going to kill us. He just leaves us with a little more desire at the position.

I would like to add Dyson however later on if his price comes down. Because he could push Barrett or Miller for a starting job and worst case he would be our nickel back and push Strait down to the dime back.

The only thing I am concerned about though is the depth at the position. Besides Miller, Barrett, and Strait... who else is their.

Im going to say this right now and you can write this one down. I think Miller will be big for us next year. I think he will supplant Barrett as the number 1 and we will be really pleased with him. I just love his speed and agressiveness.

I think they will address the Dime CB in the draft...our secondary is pretty solid. Barrett, Miller, Rhodes and Coleman are a pretty young and talented group of starters.
