we need a wr, damn it!!!

i wish all you guys would stop asking about a RB, when we have 2 good one's already on our roster. i can't understand why nobody's worried about WR! it's a much bigger need!!!

Because you can still get a very good wr later on it the draft. Look at Cotchery(sp?). 4th round pick out of NC State. He's been pretty good for us.

the whiny bastard IS signed for the next 2 years. Enough of this contract extension crap for this malcontent! When we traded for him back he demanded ( and received) a NICE contract extension. He has played VERY well for us but now has a mush head, like Toon, like Chrebet... We made him a GREAT offer by guaranteeing his final two years for $11mm. He needs to guarantee his family's financial security? What the $6.5mm the next two years after tax after the $20mm you have made the last 4 won't get by? If he can play another full season- which he unfortunately can't at this stage in his great career- great maybe then you extend him a year or two but that will never happen. The guy is signed, shut the fu@k up and play for your $11mm or he will get Kendalled too- just like that whiny bastard on the decline should have been!!

ugh i know your joking but id rather tear my eyes out, that said i would like to snag limus sweed, he is big, decent speed (4.5) and has been a really good player in one of the toughest football conferences, maybe he will fall to 36

Perhaps we could trade down, say mid pack first round, and still get a decent player, WR or CB?

We definitely need one more big time skill guy on Offense. With the lines being secured, we need a a big fast impact guy whose gonna give a little more flare to this O. If this is truly one of the deepest WR drafts in a while then maybe we can wait til the 2nd round to take one. Yet Coles only has a few quality years left and Cotchery is not a true #1 WR. This should make WR along with CB the 2 top priorities early in this draft.

Adarius Bowman out of Oklahoma State is EVERYTHING that the Jets need. This guy is going to be an all pro....

I say we draft McFadden in the first round. If we can get him. If we get him, we will have TJ and McFadden running behind, which I think well be a great line. We should try and get one more receiver, but if not. Teams will be so concerned with the run, I say we start play action to Coles a lot, just like we did with one of the first plays against the Bengals.

Why would they do that...we need a playmaker on O, not a 3rd WR

I agree, not to mention you could split D-Mac out in the slot and get a little WR action out of him.

This year's draft is deep with WR, we just have to do our homework, just look at the Denver got from UCF. Who knows we might find a gem in the fourth round since we do so well at it.

How about Earl Bennett. Very much in the mold of our current receivers but was incredibly productive in college (all time SEC leader in receptions for crappy Vanderbilt teams) and high character. I think a rotation of Cotch, Coles, Bennett, and Stuckey might be an interesting set of wideouts. The only issue is the lack of height these guys bring but I, personally, look for overall productuvity above physical tools in WRs.

He will be a first rounder for sure but will probably be a steal where he is taken.

I really like Doucet too. He reminds me of Cotchery, but he's more compact and would be an nasty slot WR.

Oh and I agree with the Devin Thomas fans too.

great choice because i was hoping we got someone Tall 6'3 to 6'6 so he fits the bill.. specially down in the redzone i dont know about you but im tired of fieldgoals and wasting energy driving all the way down the field for that...we need the possesion receiver and someone whose not scared to go across the middle.

The thing that sucks about this draft is there's no top 10 WR talent.

There's a lot of late 1st WR talent and I think the Jets will try to get into that area.
