Our beloved Jets have attacked this off season and we should all be proud of their efforts. They identified 4 key weaknesses, namely, NT, LG, RT, pass rushing OLB. They have addressed all 4 areas in a matter of days! They also still have cap room left to play with. Also, Tangini realizes that there will probably be NO CAP in 2 years, and that probably played into their decision to attack like mad dogs! However, this works out I'm proud to be a Jet fan. I'd rather go down in flames because we tried and failed then continue the same old pattern of mediocrity.

Hmm. Hate to be cynical but I don't think we have room left to "play" with, especially considering our high picks. In my mind, we only have signed one player who definitively makes us better: Faneca.

I'd say Jenkins/Woody are solid, and have potential, but I think we over-paid for Pace... hopefully that 20 mill signing bonus means that his cap number will only be severe this year...

But we would pay Gholston, who hasnt played a down in the NFL big money, and thats ok? Remember Pace was a 1st rounder just a few yrs ago, a forearm injury(non football related) and a system that didnt fit him(sound familiar?) Take a playmaker in the first round, please

I was just looking at the cardinals boards (yes, they exist), and practically everyone is laughing at the jets right now. They were talking about how pace was atricous for 3 seasons and people were calling for him to be cut before this season...

Like us here with our players that depart, we act like no big deal. Was Adalius Thomas that impressive in Baltimore, they did the same thing there. Plus Faneca coming to us instead of them made them bitter.

We did deal with Coles. We offered to guarantee the old man the last 2 years of his contract. You're welcome.

I’ve been pretty critical of their cheapness in recent years but damn it is so much nicer to see your team go balls out and try to fix things instead of the same old lackadaisical approach.

It’s important to not that this aggressiveness was completely necessary; players fit for the 3 – 4 are by no means a dime a dozen and with Bill Quitcells going to Miami; the AFC East is suddenly packed with 3- 4’s with an extremely limited amount of talent throughout the league.

I guess Card's fans would know better than anybody what 'atrocious' looks like...

Now with this offensive line IF we get McFadden and have TJ. Our running game will be great and that will make Coles and Cotch just that better because we won't have to pass every down like we did this season

and don't forget we drafted him in the 3rd round when no one else would touch him because he was a petty thief. Shut your pie hole Coles and play!

you don't think a 3 time Probowler who is 6'4" and weighs 350lbs and is still pretty young is a great signing for our 3-4??

I agree. This is very exciting. If we do end up taking McFadden, things are going to get nutty. I'm hoping to pick a few impact receivers in the draft -- above 6'2"

I agree, I remember last year when the Jets stood pat for about a week. Everyone was bitching.

I agree. This is a guy who left us for big money at Washington, where the Jets took the draft pick. I can understand that. Then he came back to the Jets, with a new contract for more money. Now he wants a new contract, when does it stop?
