 I was initially surprised to see you say you agreed with me... Then I realized we were in the NYJ forum, not the Primaries Thread...

Just goes to show you... Football can bring people from all walks of life, and all different mindsets together..

Kinda like my boy Obama  Haha

Keep in mind guys that we have a new coach in charge of the running game. Callahan is probably the one pushing for the lead blocker..

We never really used a FB set. MY boy from 'Cuse, Kowalewski usually did the lead blocking and he played TE at school. It would be nice to have a stellar FB.

Yeah, pretty ironic isn't it? I'll still give Mangini the benefit of the doubt because we obviously don't know everything that went into those decisions. Or it could have just been a rookie coach making some bad choices. Whatever, as long as he learns from bad decisions, that's all you can ask for. And that's something Herm NEVER did. In fact, I think Herm took other coaches mistakes and tried to see if he could improve on them.

sign him for 1 year with, with incentives and a 2nd year option if he plays well the first year.

As a 1 year option, he would be great. Especially if McFadden were here, as Richardson helped Peterson with the transition to the NFL.

...yeah, let's draft someone that unproven at the NFL level instead of signing one of the best lead blockers of all time.

I like Owen Schmitt too, but I doubt he falls to the 4th round and definitely not the 5th. If we want Schmitt we will have to make our move in the 3rd round. I know we lost our 3rd round pick to acquire Jenkins, but we could always somehow magically get it back because the FA period is still not over.
