Again, I like Will James because of his size and he is a pretty good Nickel corner. STAY AWAY FROM PACE.
I loved Will James' potential back when he was a rookie (and named Peterson) back with the Giants, but injuries and such turned him into at best a 3rd guy. We have some third corners already, I'd spend the money on a starter. Eugene Wilson I wouldn't hate because of his versatility, again though, not as a starter. Olivea is still the guy I want at RT, then with whatever's left think about a defensive back, but most likely devote the first and second rounders to LB and DB.
Faneca, 6-5, 307 pounds, was the top guard on the market. But it was thought the Jets would have trouble attracting top free agents coming off a 4-12 finish last season -- not to mention the stories about Mangini's unrelenting training camps and practices. "Alan believes in that," said Smith. "I made him well aware of the way coach Mangini wants things done. He thinks that's what it takes to win." That's my favorite part. I'm tired of hearing that Manigini is too demanding and his practices are too tough. It takes hard work to accomplish anything worthwhile, and it sounds like Faneca knows and respects that.
We need Olivea than we might be back in the playoffs next season if we get a rookies who can make an impact right away
San Diego benched Olivea for his poor performance this offseason. He's a little too penalized for my taste, but that's something we can work out. At the end of the day, he's a solid pass protector who is both young and experienced and very strong for his size. He probably won't be that expensive, and he'd be another guy who would lend a bit of grit and nastiness to our line. -X-
What about signing an additional NT like washington or jackson both UFA, Just for a little leadership. If they were cheap enough? And they are just Questions guys!!!!
