With our O-Line turning into a terrific blocking crew, do you believe the Jets should do whatever we can to draft McFadden this April?

I don't think we should do whatever we can to get him but if he falls to us at 6 try to trade but if you cant then take him

If we get Pace, then maybe. But I'm starting to think that Mendenhall might be the better pro prospect.

Watching the combine, they noted he had dead legs on contact. Meaning he is explosive, but when hit, goes down easy.

what if I say no, but it has nothing to do with other needs, so I don't know if my answer is applicable because you defined what no is to only apply to one possible reason.

    terrible poll.

Chris long or a trade down.....right now I would lean towards a trade down because this is a deep draft and there will be some good players available late in round 1 and into round 2.

If we are going to run a PAts-like 3-4, then we'll need a bunch of different defensive players than have different skills.....so the more good football players, the better. At this point, with the system we're trying to run, I'd rather have football players than athletes.

McFadden is starting to sound like a big slider on draft day, and I don't think we should be the one to catch that falling knife. I don't think his immaturity will be a good fit here.

I agree, plus we already have a decent running back in Thomas Jones.

thomas jones behind faneca-he will get 1400+ yards, he is good, we dont need mcfadden, jones got 1100 behind a shitty line, our line is a lot better, he will be very good, and i think he will make the pro bowl

think we're good at the RB position. i like a WR instead. who's the best WR? think we should look for one in the 2nd round. i still like gholston. linebacker too.

No. We have Jenkins, who should help against the run. Now we need a pass rusher with the 6 pick, to make this defense more formidable.

If DMC is there at 6, I would trade down if the deal was right. If I make a list of all the things that need improvement on this team, RB is last on the list.

I really don't like the Idea of a big name running back at #6. RB's seem to be a dime a dozen in the NFL anymore. GB got thier starter of the Giants pratice squad last year. The Giants played somewhere between 5 and 500 guys at the position and barely skipped a beat.

D-Mac is a great talent for sure, but the Jets have talent and depth needs in much more pressing areas. Add to that DMC's "Skinny Legs", Fumble problems, and off feild problems and I would rather take someone else.

With a Revamped O-line that can actually make these things call holes that Thomas Jones used to get to run through, I think we are fine with him back there. Add to that a real home run hitting change of pace back in Leon and I see no reason to pick a running back early.

I love how we add one very good LG, and suddenly we are a 'terrific blocking crew.'

D'Brickashaw should improve with Faneca next to him, but it isn't a guarantee, and run blocking is NEVER going to be his strength anyhow...

Brandon Moore on the right side is still only average, and we're still lacking tremendously at RT....

Slow down people... As of now we are definitely improved, but Faneca is a LG, not God...

Like I posted earlier, I don't feel we need him, because we already have a good RB, but if we were to draft him(which i totally disagree with), no matter how you look at it, it's still an upgrade in the rb position. If that were to happen, I would keep DMC, and trade TJ for a good DL player since he still has market value.

With Atlanta being the likely team to sign Turner, I don't see a RB going in the first round until Chicago at the earliest. The Jets simply do not need a RB. Drafting a RB at 6 and dumping all that money into one position would be foolish and Tannenbaum is not foolish. It's not happening folks. Period.

In my opinion, I think Leon Washington is better than TJ.
