Why would Faneca ever come here?

    Kevin Mawae....outspoken interior lineman....not a Mangini guy....good-bye Kevin.

    Pete Kendall....outspoken interior lineman....not a Mangini guy...good-bye Pete.

    Alan Faneca....outspoken interior lineman....not a Mangini guy....

Faneca and his agent are using the Jets like a $10-dollar hooker. Will he come for the money if nobody else puts it up, I guess. Let's see how well he and Eric hit it off.

I would've gone after Faine, put him at guard and had a back-up center in case Mangold got hurt.

Faneca is about 10 times better than Faine...

And put a Vet in between Brick and Mangold, a Vet who is arguably the best Guard in football(Hutchinson to me)...

Rather of gone after Faine? Come on.

I don't believe that any NFL player in his right mind would EVER say that the NYJ don't have any heart. Not Jenkins, and certainly not Faneca.

That's not being outspoken, that's just being flat out wrong and he wouldn't deserve to be around here.

    Out of curiosity:

    Is Faneca "Outspoken"?

All I recall is that he called out Tomlin last season, but did he do that ever in Cowher's reign?

He would be a good addition IF he comes here, and IF he's in it for more than a payday.

    Fixed for truth.

I don't think Mangini cares if they're outspoken or not, he just wants them to back it up on the field.

You nailed this one. We are either going to over pay for him or he will use us to get team he really wants to go to up the Ante! From all accounts he is not a Mangini Guy!

Faneca was not outspoken until he was unhappy. Based on what you're saying here, it shouldn't say "Why would Faneca come here", it's "Why would we bring Faneca here". Mangini made the decision for them to leave, not the other way around.

This is stupid , We have a miserable offensive line we just gave up almost 60 fucking sacks this season and people are bitching about signing a Guy who is in the Pro Bowl every season and is one of the best Offensive Linemen in the NFL , Let them spend the money for a change and bring us some playmaking talent.

You can call Faneca outspoken if you want, but at least he is man of is word/contract. If he really wanted out of Pitt he would have made stink like Kendall did but he didn't.

I remember everyone wondering what the heck Parcell's was thinking when he gave $31 M to Mawae to bring him here. Parcell's knew exactly what he was doing and he was right. You need quality in the interior of your offensive line if you expect to do anything.

Jenkins is an outspoen player too. He's called out teammates and FO... but he' now a Jets. There is a difference between being a problem and not liking your team.

Did Kendall complain once on WAS?

You nailed it. Both Kevin Mawae and Pete Kendall were on the Jets making noise about thier current contracts. Faneca would not be complaining about the big payday he would be getting if he signed here. Not to mention boht were a few years older and closer to the end of thier playing days then Faneca will be if he signs.

Why would GSourJr post someting that is both speculative and negative?

Well, because thats what a broken record does, the same thing over and over again.

Mawae was just a complainer, plain and simple.

When Groh was here, Mawae divided the locker room by saying Groh was too hard on the players. When Herm was here, Mawae divided the locker room by saying Herm was too easy on the players. Mangini, a rookie coach, doesn't need to deal with that.

Kendall just wanted money. That won't be a problem with Faneca.
