At 6'4, 341, Jenkins would fit the 3-4 nose tackle mold. Unfortunately unless we work out a DRob trade his value for us would drop and thus our asking price would drop. I would however, not be ok with a Jenkins for Vilma 1-1 trade. We have to get something in return for Vilma in addtion. Some sort of a conditional pick.

Jenkins is the better player. We shall see.

I had that thought earlier but it's a bit too much to hope that they are going to address one of our biggest needs so efficiently.

    Jenkins, okay. Would prefer Stroud.

But for the love of God, dump D. Robertson now....personally, tired of seeing his sorry fat slow non-athletic lazy ass get pushed around like a rag doll.

  5. Actually... D rob is by far our best lineman at the current moment and if he was as bad as you say he is...all these other teams wouldnt be interested in him.

Wait a minute am I mistaken or something?

Is this the same guy who is CONSTANTLY on the IR year in and year out and more often than not has to get shut down? And people wanna deal Vilma straightup for Jenkins? WHAT?

'm not willing to give up our #2 this year for Jenkins. I'd give up our #3 though and hope to get it back on Drob and Vilma.

    Not a 2 for KJ but I could see a 3rd rounder..Thats a good trade off

Jenkins and his 335 pounds would be awesome. not to mention two years left on a contract. He is going to play his ass off so he gets paid.

    2007 Stats:

    D. Robertson, Jets: 57 tackles, 4 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss
    K. Jenkins, Panthers: 38 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss...

I'm just saying...If they move Robertson to end, we might have something here...

  14. D rob would need to re-structure his contract in order for that to occur.

Newsday guesses that the Saints will be sending a third-round pick to New York for Vilma. It's not out of the question that the Jets would in turn send that pick to Carolina for Kris Jenkins. Feb. 28 - 9:12 pm et.

you tie up jenkins with a double team all game you can get Drob at an end spot with ellis rushing the qb. you know Harris will be a monster with that beast in front of him!

Thats good to hear. The Rogers rumors seem to be tailing off as the night goes on. Looks like this could be legit.
