http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5450044 Even though we had a horrible season we had the 4th highest home attendence in the NFL (behind the Skins, Giants & Chiefs) This makes me proud because even though our team was playing poorly the Gang Green fans showed up & cheered them on. Give yourself a pat on the back Jets fans.
Unfortunately, I am pretty sure the Jets count tickets sold, not tickets used. The place was pretty dead the last couple games.
i agree with mantana, they obviously didnt count tickets used considering the stadium was maybe 2/3 full the last quarter of the season. but, we are in the new york/metropolitan area, so no matter how bad we suck we will always have decent ticket sales im surprised the colts werent up there as high considering they 13-0 start, i woudlve figured they would have one of the highest.
Your tickets are scanned as you enter the stadium. That is how they are counted. The article means the whole season. We were packed up until the last two games.
the article states "led the league in paid attendance last season" paid attendance is tickets sold not asses in the seats -- the jets and giants sell out before the season starts -- if we had a bigger stadium we would still be sold out -- even if no one shows up to a game the paid attendance is a sellout
People were coming, but they apparently weren't staying. People were going to the stadium ordering hot dogs to go!
Incorrect! Jets lead the world in no-shows. As stated, it's tickets sold, and the Jets and Giants play in a big stadium and sell out every year before the first ball is kicked (to the 16 by Nugent ). The reason the Skins are # 1 every year is because Fed Ex has the most seats to sell.
The complete list. What doesn't surprise me, though, is how my favorite team, the Oakland Radi?rs, invited a whole bunch of crickets to their games. New Orleans and Arizona at least have plausible excuses for dragging the league down. That said, Crazy Al will fill his colostomy with glee when he hears that his team led the league in attracting pirates, tranvestites, smog monsters, road warriors, satan worshippers, and fat chicks.
If both the Jets and Giants share a stadium, and they both sell out well before the season starts. How do we have different attendance? it looks like the Giants sell 1,000 more tickets per game than we do. WTF
