It looks as if the draft picture is coming into better focus.

Considering our signing of another versatile Dlineman that can play DT or DE in either the 3-4 or 4-3, I do not think we will be drafting SuperMario. I now hope that we go after whichever QB is available to us at the 4th spot. That said, I am opposed to trading up to get either of these guys. As has been stated by others, none of these 3 QB's are head and shoulder over the others. Leinart has the best shot as starting from day 1, but is that what we really need? I think not, since we have two QB's with significant experience starting. I am leaning toward Young at this point over Cutler, because of Young's intangibles and leadership.

The other appealing option is to trade down, hopefully not too far down, and getting an impact player: Hawk, Deangelo, Davis...

    Thoughts?

Hawk, Davis,Maroney.....We need Speed on the Field, on BOTH sides of the ball.

    Especially on Offense However.

If the Saints don't trade down, the trend I've been seeing in multiple mock drafts , is them taking Super Mario at #2. I'm not saying this is going to happen but if it does I see us taking a QB, D'Brick or Hawk. This draft is deep at LB & OLine and we have 2 quarterbacks on our roster that have a lot of game experience.

I'd like to trade down & pick up a RB then a LB & OL in the next 2 picks

If we stay at 4 I want Cutler or Young...Either one would be a good step in the right direction.

That's not to say they are the only two guys that would be good choices...I would also like Brick, M. Williams and even AJ Hawk...I just think its time to get a QB.

D'Brick is the pick at the 4, we have a much bigger need for linemen... i'm not sold on any of the qbs in the draft and we have to see what we got with pennington and ramsey, i think we'll be fine and becuz of the incredible o-line draft we have we'll start the new mangini era by building an excellent foundation in the trenches (which is how u win games)

You dont need to pick a linemen at 4 to get a really good 1. How about a playmaker?
