Sign A.Samuel to play alongside D.Revis and K.Rhodes in the secondary for years to come with players such as J.Miller and D.Coleman playing as our Nickel back. Everyone always complains how the Jets front office always goes after the bum players BB dont want with the Patriots such as Kassell and Chatman, it's time for us to spend the $$$ on a superstar player and help improve this Jets Defense while hurting the Patriots. --------------------------------------------------- Sign S.Andrews, once again... Spend the money on the O-Line to help with Ferguson and Mangold, S.Andrews will also help the run game with Jones and Washington running behind Ferguson, Mangold, andrews and a possible rookie from the draft. He will make the left side an elite side of the O-Line for us playing as a LG Sign L.Neal from the Chargers once they let him walk. Yes he is old... But he is one hell of a blocking fullback and can also block on special teams in the kick return game, this would be a huge addition to the O-Line and backfield. ---------------------------------------------------- Draft Gholston at #6 to put pressure on the QB for 4 quarters strong. This Defense needs a playmaker, and we will have one to draft at #6 to play alongside Revis, Rhodes, Samuel, D.Harris, and J.Vilma for years to come. ---------------------------------------------------- And lets not forget B.Berrian to play the slot next alongside Cotchery and Coles. QB- Kellen, Chad RB- Thomas Jones, Leon Washington FB-L.Neal WR's- Coles, Berrian in the Slot, and Cotchery with B.Smith @#4 TE- C.Baker LT-Ferguson LG-S.Andrews C-Mangold RG- Lets upgrade in the 2nd round RT-A.Clement Thats a pretty solid Offense than can win alot of games as long as Kellen Clements can manage the games better and be productive in the redzone. Kellen will be a 2nd year starter next year, this offseason will be his first offseason working with the first team in TC and preeseason, he should show alot of progression next year Defense Safety- K.Rhodes and A.Elam who is one hell of a hitter and flys to the ball CB's- A.Samuel, D.Revis with J.Miller/D.Barrett or D.Coleman as the Nicecl back LB's- LOLB- V.Gholston, IMLB#2 J.Vilma, IMLB#1-D.Harris ROLB-B.Thomas with players like Barton switching in and out with Vilma and players such as Hobson switching in and out to give Gholston a rest at times. DLine-I would love to upgrade over K.Coleman as our RDE, but it may be hard to do with Robertson and Pouha as our NT's in the 3-4 with Ellis as out LE That Defense can be freakish at times, I can already see it with a ball controling offense. ------------------------------------------------------- It's time for Mangini and the whole front office to spend the money THIS OFFSEASON on players such as Samuel, Andrews and Berrial... Adding L.Neal would just be a great addition to a great offseason. And lets hope we can work some magic rounds 2-7 in the draft.
i was with you until you mentioned berrian, i think that may be some wishful thinking. Theres no way the jets are bringing in all those players in FA
Ya know, you could have just edited this post : http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=29476 But I suppose these very new and refreshing ideas about who the Jets should sign this offseason were deserving of there own thread. I'm glad you thought of them.
Elam was actually a very pleasant surprise. Yes, he screwed up in the Buffalo game, but every player makes a bad play eventually. If it was Rhodes that screwed up that play, no one would have said two words about it.
Lorenzo Neal? This guy is so valuable that he's been on a dozen teams. We need a good fullback, but I don't think it's uber relevant to our scheme. -X-
You know, we have this four year veteran safety from Washington State who is big and hits hard. Does anybody know what's happened to him? He's not on IR. Why is he in the dog house of Mangini? He got alot of favorable comments his first two years. Now he's disappeared? It seems to me that the NYJ has to find a way to get the people it drafted and will not get rid of back on the field as soon as possible. Otherwise let them go. Like the former safety who now plays for the GBP. Like Ryan Grant from NYG that plays for GBP. ????
It's extraordinary how one team's "bum" can become another team's "hoss" with a different coaching attitude and strategy for the guy.
