On ESPN radio, Kiper was saying that Sedrick Ellis is right there with Dorsey and Long. That their is a hair difference between the 3. If that's the case, this stuff about there not being a good player at 6 for the Jets is alot of nonsense.

if Ellis has made his way into the top 6, as NFL Network seems to suggest, that means at WORST, we are left looking at suitors for Mat Ryan. I ain't complaining.

I think Ellis is better then Dorsey. I am hoping we can find that pass rush in FA, and that would give us room to make a run at a NT in the draft. The only thing about Ellis is that he is a little undersized too. He may be a DR clone, and I dont think anyone here would want that.

Good Player and Shaun Rogers should not be used in the same sentence. He starts every season well, and fades after game 8... Don't be blinded by his mass. His not as good as Hampton, or Wilfork or any of the other DT/NT big body types.

If Ellis has worked his way into the top 6, then one of those 3 D-Linemen will drop beyond 6 due to the pressing needs of the teams before and after us i.e (Ellis dropping to the Bengals)... But on the other hand, If these 3 are drafted before us, who then is available to us that may not have been + gholston?

Been Watching The North South Game And Ellis Has Been Impressive And They Have Been Saying He Is A 3-4 Player I Would Love To Get Him And Put D-rob At End Any Thoughts

I have watched Ellis throughout his years at USC. Ellis is an upgrade over DROB. Do not let his size fool you. He's quick agile and strong. He plays with the devoted sense of purpose and self worth/ respect that his position warrants. And now about DROB I say move him to end in the rotation so he can help bring more pressure. Hopefully this Pouha chap ends up being more than bench art because he could help with our depth.

He plays huge though. His technique is amazing, and he has a none stop motor. Being undersized with no motor would concern me. Kinda like DRob. I have a strong feeling Ellis will be an amazing pick for some team, and I honestly hope we get him.

So that's another big player in this draft. Should ease those who cried cause the Jets won their last game.

I think he will be a GREAT 3-4 tackle. He's a run stopper, which is honestly what we need.

We need an immovable force in the middle... I would love to draft this guy but only if they plan to use him as an end in the 3-4, and only move him inside when they switch to 4-3 situations.

He's kind of short for an end, no?

That would take away from his strength. He is what you look for in a 3-4 tackle. The only knock on him is that he is about 10 lbs lighter then the elite 3-4 tackles in the league. That can be fixed.

He can occupy blocks well, and he is incredibly stong. Low center of gravity, and high motor. I want him or Gholston. Dont care which.

how did randy play in oakland? how did charles woodson play in oakland?

and i said we have good defensive ends, and that we need a player like shaun rogers, never said he was good, we have robertson so rogers wouldnt have to take all the reps..

I agree with the sentiment behind this post... we dont really need an end. What we need more than anything is a BIG body in the middle.
