Jon Runyon is another example of why the Jets have losers written all over them

So in the offseason the Jets change the coaching staff, replace the GM, restructure Pennington, acquire Ramsey, cut a bunch of vets including Mawae, Fabini, Sowell etc, and trade Abraham for a pick. Then they resign a player who is a starter and played very well last year until his injury and that leads to post "same old Jets" ?????? Absurd.

I know I have done this about a hundred times, but now here is your chance again. Instead of criticizing the Runyon failure and the Baker signing, how about you tell us what you think "Mangini" should do to make the Jets SB contenders.

    Who should be the QB?
What should the Jets do with the #4 pick, #29 pick, #36 etc or even the draft in general?
Should the Jets sign Hopkins? Is Jones the answer at LT?
Who plays DL and LB in the 3-4?

Everybody on the board has the knowledge to offer opinions on these and other issues, but you just remind us how many years it has been since a championship and quibble with the alphabet as to what type a championship the Jets won in 1969. The face of the Jets for the next five years is going to be shaped in the next month. Instead of knocking everything the Jets do, for once in your life give an opinion and offer a plan.

Sure new LBers, New DBF, New DL that other teams see as Threat. A non noodle armed QB that other team respect. A new RB & certainly new WRs that are what I will call game changers. Is that enough? By reupping a just average or below average player in Baker indicates at least to me that they are still the SOJs in Hempstead which translate into the SOJs on the field.

    Ok champ....enough of this.

The bottom line is that you did what you always do...you tried to use anything...anything...to rip your own team...which is fine.

The problem with the statement you made is that even though it was Runyan that perceived the Eagles having a better chance...you tried to use that to knock the Jets.

In doing so...you went with the "see....even the Eagles are better than us".

I didnt turn your words around....you decided to.

I agree with you the Jets are not a very appealing team to sign with as of now. My point is that if you stuck with your superbowl or bust....and that there is no difference between the Seahawks...and the Jets...because they are all losers...you cant start using other teams to expose the woes of your own team...doesnt fit in with your "philosophy of football 101".

Sure it does sorry to say IMHO you just do not grasp it. You & others do everything you can turn anything around in a attempt to belittle me when all I said was JR PROBABLY PRECEIVED that at this moment the Eagles are closer then we are to making a SB & yes the Hawks also had a unsuccessful season since they are not the Champs. If you would take the time to really truly analyze our players you to may after having a heart attack when you reach the same conclusions I have but you to may then begin to see the real NYJs in a far different lite & change your opinions for the forthcoming years

WELL DUH! What I think he was asking is who? Not what positions.. Is very obvious what positions need to be filled, even the "mentally challenged" fans know that? Give us substance, some names, that way when you are wrong we can call YOU out! You seem to be very good at criticizing anything and everything about this team, yet you give your opinions based on positions? We want to hear your personal forcast. Since nothing ever makes you happy with this team, why don't you take a stab at acting out as the FO guy who makes the decisions and tell us the moves that would get this team to the next level.... I'm very interested to hear you answers....

Upgraded players that we have now it is really that simple. I for one would pursue Lavar cause without a rock in the middle of your D you are never going to be a SB contending team. I am sure EM knows that as well & will do something about that in due course. I am not a draftnik so I will presume the NEW regime will be more succesful then the last 37 yyears have proven to be when it comes to drafting. Myself I would be considering putting Vilma on the trading block cause I do not see him as been a top of the line MLB & use that pick to also improve the team.

If you don't believe that anything separates two teams who have not won the Superbowl, then why would you EVER use experts who do think that there is a difference. You can't selectively use and twist facts to support your idea.

What is your point about the Jets having never won an NFL championship? They still won the Superbowl, what exactly is the difference? More importantly, why does it matter. What does this have to do with the failed signing of Jon Runyan.

You often point to the lack of Superbowls as an indicator of how terrible the Jets are today. My point is: what does this have to do with anything. The current staff and players have not been on the team for the last couple of decades. How can you point to the previous staff's and players' lack of success to evaluate current players?

By the way how many have the Eagles won?

Do you realize you need another team to gain leverage in negotiations? That's why he brought the Jets in, to get the offer he wanted from Philly. I wouldn't take it so personally...

First off, Lavar would not be in the middle of our defense. He is an outside linebacker.

Secondly, Vilma signed (this is speculation by PFT) a contact around the neighborhood of 5 years with $7.48 million in guaranteed money. I don't think that trading him would be a good idea due to the $4.488 million cap hit alone.

Champ...Im not going to send you a pm...not today at least...and do me a favor...please stop with the belittling stuff.

Why would you say Im attempting to put you down. Why is it ok for you to call Tony.....MM....Mdog...and others...leaders of misinformation...but when someone calls it like he sees it...its "belittling".

I may not agree with the above posters on everything...but putting someone down is when someone personally attacks a poster...non football related. You call people around here blind...but when someone calls you on it..you say its an attempt to show you up.

All you do around here it to attempt to show people up...WHICH IS FINE WITH ME...AS LONG AS ITS FOOTBALL RELATED.

It amazes me with all the posters that attack your positions...that Im the one that you constantly lable as an attacker.

I must be doing something right.

Edit: and as far as the rest of your post...according to you...there is no difference between an average player and above average player...so how can anyone look at rosters to tell which team is better...who currently has more hall of famers on their roster...the Jets...the Seahawks...or the Eagles...thats how you judge them right?

Theirs winners and losers in football...and according to you there was only one good team this year...the Steelers.

After that..came the Jets...the Panthers...the Patriots...etc. According to you...the Patriots and the Jets had the same seasons...they were both losers in their quest for perfection.

    Lets just leave it there.

Hwy dude who is on the team today from the 69 SB Championship? Anybody I know? Are you saying cause as the a AFL entry in SB3 & winning we are stronger team today then the PEs? The Eagles are precieved by the experts to be a stronger then us at this moment due to Dov & Jer, You to IMHO do not grasp my reasoning so I ask you as well to PM me so you have my true meaning before replying which will U & I on good terms no matter how we think about things that are done or not dine by the NYJs.

Well were they not purveyors of misformation? A simple yes or no here will do. No qualifications allowed. Facts are facts & some day you will learn to deal with them. Yes IMHO you do not catch my meaning so that is why I suggest a PM so you are very, very sure of my meaning. What is wrong with that?

cj69, just so I can better educate myself on where you stand, would you answer a few questions??

    1) Who is your favorite current Jet player?

    2) Who should the Jets draft at #4?

    3) What is the best way for the Jets to be competitive this year?

    I eagerly await your response...

I don't really like the whole PMing thing if it's okay with you. Why can't we just talk over the board?

Your first point is exactly what I was trying to say. I thought that you thought differently from some of your previous posts.

I agree 100 %. if he signed with another team for less money ... then I'd be pissed off.

No, sorry, he is completely incapable of answering any direct questions like a normal human being, but it was a nice try.
