Still no bites on my offer of Jet-KC tix at face value. So let me take this opportunity in advance to tell those of you who want to criticize the season ticket holders to shut the fuck up. I'll tell you right now the crowd won't be full and we probably won't be loud during this 9-3 game--or 9-6 if Herm decides to, you know, "open it up". You had your chance to put your money where your mouth is and none of you have stepped up and earned the right to criticize the fans who go Sunday. So zip it.
Ummm, no one's said a word about it for the better part of the month. Beyond that, if anyone feels a need to say something, they have just as much right to do so as you do to sit on your hands. Have you ever run for President? Have you ever criticised one? Same shit, different smell. Anyway, on the topic of the thread, for this game, I actually hope no one shows up. We were flex-scheduled out of our only prime time game of the year because we totally suck. The only way to show Woody that this on-field product is wholly unacceptable is to not go and spend money to attend what will probably be the worst game of the year.
The complaints about the crowd were when the Jets actually had a chance for the playoffs and had life in them. Right now, I am not surprised or upset if no one shows up. The team is a joke playing a team who is even more of a joke. However, it is Herm's homecoming, worth going to me.
Good for them. Meaningless game for the Giants and if they can royally screw Patriots fans then that is good for all of us. Hopefully the guy trying to sell his tickets for $20,000 will get some takers too. The only thing that would be better would be if they didn't sell their tickets and not one person showed up. The game isn't televised nationally except for the NFL network (I think). So nobody (hardly) would see it on TV and nobody would see it in person and if they go undefeated nobody will see it and nobody will care. Perfect!
You forget that those of us with season tickets already paid for our tickets and our parking, so the money is already spent.
If anyone's selling a pair, with or without parking (don't really need it), for half price, ANYWHERE in the stadium, I'm interested. I posted to the tickets forum but it looks dead in there. Just need to be able to meet you at some point, preferably in Manhattan during business hours, to exchange. PM me. And to keep this on subject, only reason I'm going is to bring a cousin's British husband to his first American football game. He's really going to be blown away by the atmosphere at this one :sarcasm: I wouldn't be caught dead at the stadium this weekend otherwise.
But you won't be there to purchase concessions or souvenier items. Plus, while it doesn't affect Woody's pockets, those of you coming in from NY would skip the tolls and all of you would save on gas. Honestly, I hope whoever does show up does get off their seats during this game, to boo. Boo this team right off the damn field. I actually wanted to make it for this game, but my wife made plans to go visit family in Jersey. So basically, I have to travel past the Meadowlands, without the pleasure of booing Herm as well as our dismal shit-product team. Oh, BTW, I think the deal with the Giants is hilarious. Douchebags. Go root for your team to be the ones to try to break perfection. You're going home in the first round anyway.
H'mm thru my subscripition to the DTV Sunday package I get the NFL network so I will see the game. Last I read 40% of the nation gets it. It is the big ones TW & Comcast who are not on board I think
yeah, I heard about the thousands of Giants fans selling their tickets to Patriots fans. It was on the radio last night.
I mean Week 1 vs. New England, Week 3 vs. Miami, Week 6 vs. Philadelphia. The fans were not in the games or gave the Jets a homefield advantage in any of the games.
Exactly. I offered anyone here who criticizes the season ticket holders to make the investment and commitment for one game that I make for ten and not one person stepped up. Mouth-money=0.
Jet organization should be ashamed of themselves. We spend our hard earned money for over priced tickets for what 2 wins this year at home..
at least you could tolerate it if the stadium was a dome. syracuse had a lousy team but you don't freeze, get snowed on or rained on if you go to the game. to spend over a billion dollars on a new crib with no cover is insane.:drunk:
Better yet i bet you cant wait for those PSL's we're going to get hit up with soon. Every get their K-Y READY!!!!!!!!!!!!
