didn't see a thread on this, but here's a very quick look at the playoff pictures.

    1)New England
    2)Indianapolis
    3)SD/PIT*
    4)PIT/SD
    5)Jacksonville
6)Tennessee/Cleveland (if Titans beat the resting Colts, they're in)

*Chargers hold tiebreaker and are 9-5 while Pittsburgh is 10-5. If Chargers win against Denver and then win Week 17, they get the 3 seed. If they split and Pittsburgh loses at Baltimore, they also get the #3 seed.

    1)Dallas
    2)Green Bay
    3)Seattle
    4)Tampa Bay
    5)Giants
6)Minnesota/Washington/New Orleans (Saints would need to win and have the first two lose)

Next week should be very entertaining, with 5 games having significant impact on the playoff picture.

I am likely going to the first round game in Seattle, and I think all 3 opponents could make for a good game. Personally, I think Seattle-Washington would make for the best game, but I would also love to say AP and Bush in action

I think it's amusing that it doesn't matter if Cleveland wins or loses..it's all about what the Titans do. If the Titans lose AND Cleveland loses....Cleveland leapfrogs em.

With a likely Chargers win tonight, they probably got the 3 seed.

Looks like the first round is:
    AFC
(5)Jacksonville at (4)Pittsburgh-- I would say Jacksonville in an upset.
    and
(6)Tennessee/Cleveland at (3)San Diego--SD beats either of these teams, which would set up Round 2: SD at Indy and Jax at NE (ooohhh....)

    NFC
    (5)Giants at (4)Tampa--With a healthy Garcia, I say Tampa
    and
(6)Wash/Minny/NO at (3)Seattle--have to see who the six is

The AFC is sexy, the NFC......not so much. That AFC second round could be really entertaining.

Jacksonville-Pittsburgh is one of the best rivalries in the league involving teams that are not division rivals. It might even be a more intense rivalry than Colts-Patriots. Whenever JAX plays PIT it is always a very physical game.

You'd figure San Diego would beat Cleveland or Tennessee, but you never know. The Chargers have a history of losing playoff games at home. The worst may have been in 1979. Much like 2006, the Chargers were probably the best regular season team. In 1979, they were the top seed but did not even win a playoff game. They lost 17-14 to the Oilers in the divisional round. Among other banged up players, the Oilers were without their starting QB (Dan Pastorini) and their starting RB (Earl Campbell).

I think a Jeff Garcia-led team is going to end a Giants season for the third time in the playoffs.

Washington and New Orleans would be game in Seattle. New Orleans did win there earlier this year. After what I'm seeing of late, I would not give Minnesota much of a chance. I think the Vikings would have massive trouble running against the Seahawks, who would give them plenty of 4-4 and 5-3 looks.

I'm really hoping Sorgi pulls out the W for the Colts Sunday, because after watching the Titans play against us, I think that would make for a lame ass wildcard round game against SD.

I am rooting for the Browns to get in, as well. This 2007 Titans team is one of the most boring teams I have ever seen with a winning record.

Seattle probably beats all 3 of them. Who knows how much Washington has left in their emotional tank. I can't see them going into Seattle and winning. You're right about Minny. Tarvaris Jackson has looked TERRIBLE lately. New Orleans could make some noise if they get in, they could certainly beat Seattle. They need those other two to lose to even get in. Not likely.

I don't think Washington could win in Seattle. I wouldn't give Minnesota or New Orleans a great chance either.

Cleveland's offense is capable of putting up a ton of points....so don't underestimate them vs. San Diego if they get in...

Yeah, it could happen. Last year when the Browns blew, they went into San Diego and lost 32-25. They were losing by a score of 17-15 early in the 4th quarter before LaDainian Tomlinson scored a touchdown and the Chargers pulled away.

    if Tampa beats Giants:

then A)if Seattle beats the 6th seed, Tampa would go to Dallas.

or B)If Seattle got upset, Tampa would go to Green Bay.

NO already beat Seattle in Seattle (and badly).

If any of the NFC's possible #6 seeds has a chance to beat the Seahawks, it's the Saints.

    Word up, homie g. :drunk:

I hope it's Cleveland, like I said. So I can see someone actually have a chance in SD.

It would be a testament to the AFC South's strength if the Titans made it with the Colts and Jags already in. I believe the Texans got swept in the division going 0-6 and are 7-8. 7-2 against the rest of the league.

But, I grimmace at the thought of watching Young trying to throw the ball on national TV again.
