Dear Jets Fans, I have come to the decision to stop posting for a bit on here. I am truly a die hard fan and am excited to watch my team play every single week. The truth behind it all is that the Jets are a rebuilding team and regardless of what happens on game day 80% of the posts on this message board show ignorance. If you dont care about this then dont read but I am sure there are a few knowledgable members who can completely agree with me on this and really miss having serious conversation regarding their team. After watching todays game I watched one of the best teams ever in football get pretty much shut down by our improving defense. The first time in over a year that Brady was held without a touchdown. I am a realist to the game not just to the Jets. It is very tough to find posters who are really watching these games and actually rooting for this teams future. What I saw from the Jets today was a hard fought battle in pretty bad conditions with players to the likes of Adrian Clarke, Anthony Clement, Wallace Wright, Justin McCareins, Abram Elam, David Barrett and Eric Barton. The Patiots have taken atleast 8 years to build this team through good drafting and smart personel decisions. The Jets just simply are not there yet, and its very exausting that most here do not see that. The Jets simply dont have the talent yet, but if you realized anything from the past two seasons it is that Mangini does have a clue. He knows exactly what he wants this team to become as does Tannenbaum. They are rebuilding so either be patient or just ship to a team like the Redskins who spend all the money and trade away draft picks, yet go no where. Personally I would like to become the second coming of the Patriots there is a great possibility that the Jets dynasty can come towards the tail end of Brady's career. My final words to all of you is to sit back and just enjoy watching certain pieces of the team come together. This is just the beginning. The Jets showed a lot of heart today play in tough conditions against the best team ever, give them credit when its due. Players like Kerry Rhodes, Darelle Revis, David Harris, DeWayne Robertson, Sean Ellis, Kellen Clemmens, Leon Washington, Jerricho Cotchery and still to this day Chad Pennington. The future can be bright if you take off your glasses walk outside and enjoy the sunshine for a little and learn to have some patience. Youth?
Excellent post! Unfortunately, it will have no affect on the idiots that reside on this board. Keep the faith brother we will be back.
Great post. I'm sick of the "DUUUUUUUR FYRE MANGINA!!!" and "KELMENZ IZ NOTS DA ANSERZ" crap too, but I'm addicted to posting...
So, your last, like, 10 posts have consisted of calling people idiots or fucking idiots. Did someone steal your lunch money or something?
Meaningless response in this thread but thank you anyway. Just to add to this thread. This should explain how hard the Jets played today. This off-season the main thing to fix is the TRENCHES. What makes the Patriots so dominating is that they have so many ways to win regardless of the conditions. Could the Jets have designed a better blueprint to stop the high-powered Patriots offense? Head coach Eric Mangini and defensive coordinator Bob Sutton did a great job of utilizing different sub personnel groupings to match up with the Patriots and attacked the pocket from different alignments. This kept QB Tom Brady from getting comfortable in the pocket while trying to figure out where to attack the back end based on the Jets' zone and man concepts. With Brady struggling, the Patriots relied on their running game and RB Laurence Maroney to attack an undersized Jets front seven and a defense that dominated the Jets offensive line, especially in the interior, to carry them to the victory. -- Keith Kidd, Scouts Inc. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/scoutsbuzz?weekNumber=15&seasonYear=2007&seasonType=2 Youth?
