Give Clemens Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Donte Stallworth or Wes Welker and then we can answer this question.

Only if you're willing to give those same WR's to Chad. Oh wait, I keep forgetting it's everyone elses' fault when KC does bad but Chad's fault when he does. I keep forgetting that double-standard around here. Yep, let's give Kellen all of those WR's and then say he's the better QB

Clemens is not yet the master of checking down and always finding an open receiver, even if that receiver is in a wildly inappropriate place for the throw, as in 6 yards short of the first down on fourth and 11.

Give him time. If they keep using the Chad playbook then eventually Clemens will be at 62.5% completions for not enough first downs and touchdowns also.

Of course if they were to design a playbook for a QB who actually had a decent arm we'd be in better overall shape.

I still think that we will overhaul the playbook to better suit Clemens in the offseason which will help him, and I think that is something that can only be fully down through mini-camps and pre-season. I think Clemens will get there.

Will we ever stop bickering about chad vs. kellen? Give it up, Chad is done and as good as gone. Kellen's essentially a rookie QB right now, give him some time.

If the playbook didn't at least partially change at the bye week to suit Kellen's strengths that speaks volumes (negative) about our coaching staff. Maybe there is some truth to this, but I'd say for the most part Kellens struggles can be attributed to his lack of experience and poor execution before we point at the play book.

agree 100%!!! i would also like to add, that the play book changes from opponent to opponent, nothing is written in stone for a team with different QB's. if that was the case (chad's playbook is kellen's), why would teams even bother to scout, after week 1? sounds like a bunch of kellen defense to me.

Chad does not have the Nfl arm to hit any of the above on deep routes. It is no accident we have not drafted a burner in years. Chad needs an allstar Rb a deep threat receiver would be a waste.

Exactly, KC's would still struggle cause of his inaccuracy, holding onto the ball too long, and not having the ability to read a defense yet. KC has a long way to go but will he be given the chance to succeed... the patience is already wearing thin with the media and fans. He plays like this next year... look out.

Santana Moss? He had good stats with CP throwing him the ball, got him some nice cash in Was. And lets not forget "the bomb" in the playoffs (sorry had to bring it up lol).

A little tidbit, kinda sad, but shows what he has done for the Jets when healthy, this franchise...:

Interesting read, CP was bad ass in college, u can only wonder what would have been if not for injuries.

Bullshit. Chad can throw a beautiful deep bomb, which is mostly what Moss has been catching from Brady. He threw a perfect pass to Coles against the Bengals this year that Coles caught in stride. A lot of KC's deep passes have, for the most part, been off target.

I've been impressed with the arm strength, but his deep-ball accuracy needs to improve a lot. Sure, he can get it there, but if the ball is off-target, what's the point.

It's the same problem Eli has. Eli has just benefited from Plaxico being able to make some amazing catches to bail him out on a lot of deep passes.

Hell, there was one deep pass that Clemens threw this past game where the ball fluttered more than any that Chad has ever thrown. Oddly, I didn't see anyone coming here complaining about it though.
