Yes it is in todays papers we are again wearing the Titan throwback. Woody is trying to extract more money from us fans by exhibiting them & hoping we all rush into Modells or the NFL shop & buy them straight away
As if it is not bad enough that we have to sit through 3 hours of pathetic football between two pathetic football teams but now we have to see the Jets in these pathetic looking uniforms too? I hate sports..
The throwbacks are hideous. It's just another way the rest of the league and its fans can make fun of our pathetic Jets. We already wear freakin throwbacks. Also why wear throwbacks of a team that existed for like 2 years. We should wear the Green helmet Unis from the early 90s/Late 80s. Or Even the Airplane helmet. Leave it to the Jets to select these ridiculous uniforms to be worn.
i kinda like the throwbacks. think how many people would know nothing about the new york titans if it werent for these throwbacks? quite a few i would imagine. of course its a money thing, everything in the nfl is a money thing, (its not just woody its the nfl in general) hell they dont let the coaches wear suits anymore because it isnt an NFL sactioned wardrobe. think about the jets colors, why did they change the green from kelly to what it is now? because they wanted all the greens to be the same so that they could make more jerseys with more different players so they could sell more jerseys. they have taken everyone out behind the woodshed and most dont even realize it yet, and now they want to make everyone pay for games on the stupid nfl network, which i must say is one of the more useless networks on tv.
Because the group who acquired the Titans from Wisner took over around St. Paddys day so the leader of the group at that time Sonny Wberlin decided on green /white because it was St. Paddys day. Find the book Gang Green on Amazon & U will find all these tidbits answered
JetsCentral reported that the Jets were wearing throwbacks a few days ago. I like the move, better to wear them more than once.

see i did not know that, i learned something new as a direct result of the throwback unis. i was talking about when they changed from kelly green to the current color green which is much darker (dont remember the name) it was done so that it would be cheaper to make the jerseys they wouldnt have as many colors to contend with and then they would be able to offer a larger selection of jersey numbers. there really arent any off color jerseys in the nfl anymore they are all pretty standard colors. and while its made it easier for them and cheaper for them to make the jerseys we buy its definitely lost a little of the beauty that the older uniforms used to have.

BP did that because when he was coach at West Point the 60s NYJs he like those unis so he had them redisgned & the colored changed. It was him who came up the name "hunter" green for them
