There have been a lot of mixed feelings on this issue, so I thought what the hell lets post a poll and get the pulse of Jet nation on this issue?

A resounding Hell No...we just got rid of his brother Pete. What makes you think Mr. Genie will bring his clone, albeit one with more talent.

Depends on the price. Lilja might be a better signing.

I Honestly dont understand why fans wouldnt want Faneca a proven pro-bowl tough o-linemen especially considering where probally the worst offensive line in football. NFL and CFL included.

probably going to take atleast a 5 yr 45 mil deal and about 15 mil guarenteed.
if you dont believe me look at the past contracts. Every expert said Leonard Davis was a bust for the Cards yet he got a 7 yr 49 mil deal.

    No thanks.
I rather get someone cheaper and use that money elsewhere. These top FA's rarely work out when they are over the age of 30 anyways.

I like Lijla but something tells me his price will be driven up since so many of us are thinking alike.

He's got some miles on him and won't come cheap. I'd rather draft more OL.

    He's over 30 and we're rebuilding.

Draft a guard. That's the thing to do. Maybe 3rd round.

were not gonna sign him.. if we were one piece away on the line maybe. its not happenin tho. we need all we can get on the line but whats an aging guard gonna do for us when were in the process of building our line and letting our qb grow? its a waste of money. i am all for wins over a higher draft pick right now, because this is the regular season and when it comes down to it thats what really matters.. but i cant wait for the draft, because although many fans didnt see it at first, the past 2 drafts have been and will eventually prove to be huge for the development of this team. ferguson, mangold, leon, clemens, harris, and revis in 2 years? im sold

People who want guys like Faneca or Starks should pay more attention to Pittsburgh's running game. Fast Willie Parker only has a couple rushing TDs this year. Pitt often throws the ball because of the weakness in their run blocking.

We should look elsewhere for our OL help IMHO.

I'd like somebody bigger. To me, he is more of a finesse guard. I want a 330 lb. steamroller. Lets face it, Thomas Jones is not the most subtle runner in the world. And I am tired of the Jets getting stuffed at the goal line. That has been going on since Parcells left.

Did you not see D-Rob man handle Faneca all afternoon a couple weeks ago. That should be a telling sign on whether or not Faneca is any good.

I would reeeeeeaally rather have Andrews or Smiley.

An over 30, expensive, declining player can sign with a team thats not rebuilding.
