Okay, so I was asked a hypothetical today that absolutely stumped me.

    Would you prefer:
    (a) Pats to go 16-0 while the Fins go 0-16, or
    (b) Pats lose to the Fins and finish 15-1, while the Fins go 1-15?

    I honestly could not decide.

    (a):
    - Pro: We now have the perfect counter to whenever a Fin fan boasts about their 16-0 season.
    - Con: If it was tough before, it'll be downright impossible now to co-exist with Massholes.

    (b):
    - Pro: Able to laugh obnoxiously at the Pats' slightly less than perfect season, losing to the lowly Fins.
    - Con: Have to endure Fish fans bragging about their single triumph, while completely neglecting their overall failure of a franchise.

I don't want to live in a division in which two of our opponents can claim the only perfect seasons in NFL history. It raises too many questions about how we managed to go 0-4 in our attempts to stop that.

That's honestly one of the toughest questions a Jets fan can face.

If a gun was to my head . . . I might just say, "shoot".

I was all set to go with "B" but then I got to thinkin...

Sure, if the Phins beat the Pats, we can make fun of the Pats, but lose leverage on the Phins.

But then again, the Pats already have like 5 Super Bowls in recent years, and arguably the best team ever. What is one more notch on their belt? Go ahead Pats, have your undefeated season, I don't give a shit, it's just something else to add to the long list.

I can't really express how much I want this game to end in a tie. That would be the greatest thing that ever happened.

definately the dolphins winning and them going 1-15 and the pats 15-1

i know it would be sweet for the dolphins to go 0-16, but come on now, do you REALLY want the pats to go 16-0 and possibly 19-0...those a**holes would be talking about that for the next 30 years

As if they weren't already talking about their 3 Superbowls (soon to be 4) within a decade?

But, yeah...I guess I'd go with Pats losing to the Dolphins, too. Basically, it's just so I can see Belly's frown as he loses to the league's #1 laughing stock.

How about Pats go 16-0, Phins go 0-16, and Pats lose 74-0 in the second round of the playoffs? Wouldn't that accomplish everything a Jets fan would want? Or maybe they squeak by and win in the second round, but lose 87-0 in the AFC championship game - then the Fins don't get to say they're still the only team that went 17-0.

Edit: I'm an oldtime fan, so I hate the Fins more than the Pats. For people who don't detest Shula, Griese, and the rest of those guys, the obvious answer is for the Jets to beat the Pats and the Fins to lose out.

I want the Dolphins and Patriots rematch to end in a tie, consequently ruining both teams prospects of a perfect win(less) season.
