I thought it was going to be Ramsey for sure but those clips of pennington bowling changed my mind if he has the power to bowl. Then that means he is working on throwing the ball and is trying to be the QB he use to be.
If Pennington is healthy, he will easily be the best QB on the roster. If he's not healthy, it will only be a matter of time before Ramsey takes over. If Pennington can't perform, and we draft a QB, I would still expect Ramsey to start most of the games.
Penny will start and believe it or not he will bring us back to the playoffs... Especially if we sign runyan and our D rocks!
Imo Ramsey will probably be the opening day starter because Pennington may not be ready at that time. From there it will all depend on how Ramsey does.
I'm saying Chad not based not on Opening Day, but over the whole season. Seriously, if Brooks gets in a game it'll be out of desparation.
Chad if healthy but that is far from what will happen, Ramsey will start either to begin the season, or take over when Chad tears his shoulder again. I see it as 60-70% Ramsey, the remaining goes to Chad
I assume you mean opening day and not week three after Chad drops back to pass and his right knee falls off putting him on IR for the next two seasons? It?s been months since he's had an injury?he?s certainly due.
I think Ramsey will start because I also do not think Chad will be ready yet. Ramsey will easily be able to establish that he has a much stronger arm than Chad. The questions are, will his confidence grow and will Ramsey adapt and learn the system that will play to his strengths with good decision making.
I am hoping it will be Ramsey. I don't think that Mangini will make the same mistake that Herm did and bring him back in too early. I would give it a few weeks before letting Pennington get back in there. I am more inclined to think that also because Ramsey wanted out of Washington to play, so maybe he already knew the answer to that question.
If Pennington is healthy, he'll be the best option and will start. Whether he will be healthy is another question.
You know, I'm not convinced that Ramsey couldn't be a solid starter in the NFL. He really hasn't played at all in the last two years, and before that he was still growing into the position. Maybe starting over will help him become a better qb. Sometimes minor changes in either the mentality of an individual, or changes in their surroundings can result in making a huge difference. I think Ramsey may have significant updside and untapped potential that no one knew was there. Just a thought. To me, pennington is just a huge risk and has a ton of downside to him. He's 30 now, he obviously has massive shoulder problems, and he's injury prone. Nobody is convincing me that all those injuries were simply "bad luck". With his arm, even prior to the injuries, being mediocre at best (he was probably the weakest armed starting qb in the nfl in 2002/2003), I don't see him ever really coming back and being capable of winning a championship. That's what I want to see this team do -- that's what we all want isn't it? I think at the end of 2004, teams realized what you had to do beat pennington. That's just normal, over time, people realize how to solve a problem - in this case pennington. The problem is that pennington doesn't have the athletic ability to overcome defenses anymore, so he's always behind the curve.
I def think Ramsey will be starting.. I dont think Pennington will be ready. I think after a few games he will be going in though
 Hey, if Vinny had stayed in a couple more games last season he might have gotten killed, and then the O-Line would have had to be brought up on manslaughter charges. :breakdance:
