This offensive line is awful. A big reason why is because Kendall isn't here anymore. Just an extra million is what it would have taken to keep the line from last year together. Granted it wasn't great, but this line we have now is terrible. Tannenbaum screwed that up.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson is the biggest bust since Kyle Brady. He's awful. 16 sacks in 27 games. Tannenbaum screwed that up.

Players seem to be turning against Mangini.

Last year was supposedly the rebuilding year, this year was supposed to be the year we win it all. Back to another top 5 pick in the draft.

We can start by getting rid of Schottenheimer and his awful play-calling on offense. It's been brutal ever since he's been here. While he has brought some nice trick plays to this offense, his bad play calling far exceeds the value of his trick plays.

I'd be willing to give Mangini one last season to prove himself, but if this team isn't above .500 next season, gotta get rid of him.

The only solution to help this season is to get rid of Tannenbaum before he blows another top 5 pick.

This team won't be contending for awhile. There is no nucleus on this team at all. I can't show you one position that can't be upgraded. The lack of a star player is killing them on offense.

    Same Ole Jets.

    And your point???? :)

I know you're frustrated man, but don't morph into Capt. Obvious. We have newbies that can fill that role adequately...

    My point?

My point is to fire Mike Tannenbaum now and get rid of these scrub players like D'Brickashaw Ferguson and DeWayne Robertson.

The O-line i'll give you, it blows. D'Brick gave up 10 sacks last year, and only 6 this year so far, hes getting better- it doesnt help that he has an invisible man next to him either.

Players arent turning against mangini yet, but next year it could happen.

Most experts knew we were going to have a mediocre to bad season. There was no talk of "win it all" only by the delusional.

Tannenbaum never had a top 5 pick before, so this will be his 1st time picking that high.

We can contend next year if the Lines are beefed up and Clemens plays to expectations.

Its an odd numbered year, we are going to suck, its ok-- wait for next year.

    hehe you gotta love mushmouth!!

awful angry about ferguson, 6 sacks in 11 games this year, i really dont see how that is SO TERRIBLE? its not like he gave up 6 sacks in 2 games i really dont see the issue that everyone has with this guy i think he is playing pretty well and has definitely improved over last year.

The thing is...What if Brick is a victim of a bad supporting cast?

maybe he plays with the worst LG in the NFL:eek:hmy:

It's ok, watching the 2007 Jets has killed more brain cells than all the teams since Kotite left combined.

yes, we obviously should have kept kendall, but other than that, the rest just seems like frustration.

d'brickashaw, although he was a #4 overall pick, is not going to single handedly hold down the offensive line, let alone single handedly hold down the entire offense, which is what it sometimes seems like some fans think he should be doing the way they talk about him.

schottenheimer and the playcalling havent exactly been spectacular, but look at what we have to work with this year... the only 2 solid starters on the o-line are second year players, and if you know anything about football you know thats not going to get you very far. also, we have a qb whos started 4 games and our biggest playmaker on offense on and off with injuries. last year i know i liked schotty and all his trick plays with the new explosive rookies like leon and brad smith.. but the line was playing alot better with kendall and chad was finally having another pretty good season, and cotchery emerged as a solid #2 wideout.

as for tannenbaum, we didnt address all our needs, but we got 2 players in revis and harris who are 2 of our best defensive players already in their first year and are undoubtedly the future of our defense. i dont know about you but i cant complain there.

its a frustrating season and an extremely disappointing blowout on one of our biggest primetime games in recent years.. but we are just coming off playing at the very least 4th best team in all of football. we've already been surprised by the defenses improved play as of late.. so lets just keep tryin to see who else is able to make a big impact on the team, before what is going to be a very important offseason for this team...

I'm just curious....when has Brad Smith ever been even close to explosive? This guy has never gained more than 15 yards on a play. He isn't that fast, and he doesn't have a lot of moves. Excellent ST guy.

We suck. Get over it. Its not like we are the Steeler fans and we are not used to it. We are the Jets and its the NFL. Its all about the schedule. Look at most of the teams that are .500 or better. There schedules are a joke like ours was last year. Besides, we never have 2 good seasons in a row. Next year is the test. And I am not saying that we do not have serious talent issues also
