occured to me the last coach we fired was rich kotite. parcells belicheck groh and herm all left on their own. woody must be cheap/impossible to work for. we all saw how he handled the wayne chrebet ceremony with the continetal tickets. also who is the most big name free agent we have signed since he bought the team. i cant even think of one i guess ty law but we cut him after one year. the more and more i think about it woody seems like a dolan.
Parcells 1st retirement came BEFORE Woody took over, Belichick stepping down came BEFORE Woody took over so how would either have known if he was difficult to work for? Woody also offered pacells the highest contract of any HC afer groh stepped down so there goes the cheap label. Wha does Woody have to do w/ Mangini running Kedall out of town and doing such a poor job this year? We won 10 last year and have more talent.
Cant blame the Owner i mean we havent really gone after a big name player but we really cant be shure whats going on i guess after the rebuilding offseason we got coming for us well see if he's cheap or not
Parcells never recovered from the Vinny injury in '99. He knew he had stacked the deck for '98 and '99 and that the Jets were going to be capped in 2000 and 2001 in terms of Super Bowl possibilities. When you're his age two years is an eternity. If we'd won the Super Bowl in 1999 he'd probably still be the coach.
Woody is CHEAP & his only interest is enhancing his own pocketbook at the expense of us fans. if you believe anything else then I suggest it is time to stop drinking that green koolaid & change ur sun glass color from green to brown or red so that you see the world of the NYJs very clearly
This is ridiculous. 1.Parcells would have retired regardless of Super Bowls. In fact, the only reason Parcells came back is because his wife bled him dry in the divorce settlement. Dallas offered him the big money. 2.Woody Johnson sunk more money than most of us will ever come in contact with in our lifetime into that West Side project. Granted, his intentions may have been dubious, but this is not a cheap man. 3.Both Curtis Martin and Wayne Chrebet received ridiculous reward contracts(consisting of Woody's money) because Bradway had no interest in bargaining. While Martin's might have been justified, Bradway paid a past his prime Chrebet like he was a top flight number two. The idea that a couple of millionaires who have already been more than compensated for their services should be handed a new car or some other crap for their services is absurd. -X-
Well when U allow the team you own to become a national embrassment then what others words other then cheap would you have to classify Woody?
Dude do you read ? where did i state that woody wasnt cheap ? i said i aint gonna jump to conclusions to thats the reason why we suck but i did say that its too suspicious that we never sign or even provoke a big name free-agent that we could most definately use. LIKE I STATED ALREADY. With this being a huge off-season where we must sign players and spend the cream we WILL find out if he's really that cheap or not. Up to this point though "Im going with the cheap part" GOTTA SPEND DA MONEY WOODROW!
Anyone who thinks Herm Edwards quit is a fool. That was as close to a firing as you'll see without it actually happen. Heck, they dealt him, got out of the rest of his deal, and got a 4th rounder...
That makes more sense I guess, though I disagree. For future reference it's 'bush'.. from second rate leagues having to play on fields with bushes. If you were wondering.
