Just to get an idea of where we need to upgrade the most the next offseason, whether by FA or draft.

My wish would be all but Mangold but I am sure that they will keep Mr. average D'Brick as well

I don't think Moore is terrible at all, and I hated Moore and was hoping he'd return this year as some kind of swing backup. That said, I think he's been better this year than last year. He's cut down on the awful penalties and while he's not a star, I think he's a reliable starter.

The obvious problem is that the entire right side of the line is horrendous. Moreover, Moore is locked up until 2010 and not going anywhere.

There's really little point in complaining about how atrocious this team is because it's fairly evident. Quite simply, we have two placeholders on the offensive line and no playmakers at linebacker. Our secondary is made up of journeyman and we have a rookie quarterback. Our number 1 wide receiver is banged up. Really, I don't know what you people are expecting.

I don't agree about Moore. He is as much at fault for the piss poor run-blocking as Clement. Granted he cut down on the penalties, but that's not say much, he couldn't get much worse. I have no idea why they gave him an extension. But his contract isn't that much even with the pay increase, even if they eventually put him as a back-up.

    Agreed.

I would call Harris a playmaker.

Revis, Rhodes, and Eric Smith aren't journeymen. The rest yes. But of all the squads on the team, they have done the best job at building up the DBs and it is developing into something significant. Just need to get another CB and safety.

I think all three should go but the CS sees something in Moore that we don't.
I want guard who can run block his ass off. I never see any of these guys dominate at the point of attack.

We need a stud RT and LG to offset D'Brick and Moore not being able to physically beat their opponent.

I think we could get alot more from Moore with a better supporting cast. He has played alot better this season and I like his toughness. Don't think he will ever be much better than average though , unless he can learn from better linemen , which are an endangered species at the Jets.

Well the CS/FO should have known about Clement after he was REJECTED by every other team in the NFL when he was a UFA this past off season

AH yes we all know, that all the front office needs to do is consult a Voodoo priest and have them mix their magic Right Tackle powder with water and Poof we have a RT. They went after Columbo and failed, he was the Back up plan.

I'm not as down on Moore as you, but I think Clement is the worst simply because he's a vet in precipitous decline. He's on pace to allow a career record number of sacks.

As for the secondary,Smith doesn't look like much. He could be upgraded. Revis is still learning and Rhodes is excellent. The rest of the guys? Dyson? Poteat? Coleman? Not much there. Aside from Revis and Rhodes you could replace the whole unit tomorrow and no one would notice. Elam is out of control and will probably hurt more than he helps. It's a shame Justin Miller got hurt, I would have liked to see him succeed. He'll probably be tossed.

Harris is a play maker, you're right, and I should have said as much. That said, there's no pass rushers. All the other 3-4 teams are stacked in this regard. Bryan Thomas could be effective as your second rusher, but they need a top tier guy. I like this kid Gholston, and they should make an aggressive push for Karlos Dansby or Terrell Suggs.
