In spite of how good the Pats look, without Brady and Moss they aren't going to win the SB. BB knows this, they can beat us without risking their starters for very long. BB will play it smart, he knows the Cowboys have allready made a huge upgrade on D since they played and he needs a healthy rested squad to make a successful playoff run.

Yes I think I said more/less the same thing with my post. Maybe 14-0 would be enough but I think Belly will want to make sure before putting TB & RM to rest for the day

It's going to be ugly. I bet most Jet fans will stop watching after the first quarter.

Teams do not stay sharp by resting players for the playoffs.

The Pats already are going to have a bye week. That will be rest enough. Unless a player has some sort of minor Injury , the starters will get at least 3 quarters of work, depending on the score they might rest some in the 4th.

If anything in pro football is a greater accomplishment than winning a super bowl, its going 16-0. The Patriots have already won it all several times, the only thing left for them to do is set records, thats why they've been piling up scores on teams lately. When you get to be as good as they are, the objective is to stamp your name all over the record books as many times as you can.

And its the job of that team's rivals to keep them from doing it. That's my main concern with this team right now. Getting better for next year is obviously important, but right now I hope that every player in that locker room is thinking about the opportunity they have in front of them to spoil the season for New England. Hopefully somebody will keep them from 16-0, and hopefully its the Jets. Hopefully somebody else will keep them from winning the Super Bowl (my money is on the Packers). I think that as a Jets fan, that's the most important thing happening in the remainder of 2007.

The way I see things, over the first half of this season, the biggest problem with this team was on defense. There were a number of games where the offense was decent, specials were excellent, and the Jets could have won if the defense could make a handful of plays, get off the field in spots where they need to, and generally held up their end of the bargain. Lately the defense has improved significantly, and it's been the offense that can't get it together, and the primary reason the offense has regressed has been Clemens' growing pains. Thats the way I view the Jets' season, and that's why, with the Patriots game coming up in a few weeks, I regret the fact that Pennington got benched.

And that's just the thing - it's NOT 16-0. Call it a quirk of history, call it unfair, call it whatever - but 16-0 gets them nothing. In many ways, the pressure only begins for them at win 16, because unless they go 19-0 and win the Superbowl, the Dawlfphinz will still have their faggoty champagne parties.

And then, of course, the faggoty Patriot champagne parties begin.

how quickly people forget just how bad noodle arm was playing. couldn't score a td against the eagles at home. couldn't score td's against hardly any team for that matter. teams stacking the box b/c noodle arm couldn't make a descent throw beyond 10-15 yards. more int's than touch downs!!!

and they actually think the noodle gives us the best chance to win??? lol
