    He's lost most of his speed, but he can still hit and he's a very solid defensive player.

    Good signing in my opinion.

    I don't know how I feel about giving him 4 years...but I'll certainly live with it.

    Castillo was actually below average defensively last year. It's better then Eckstein, I guess. I don't think I'd mind him that much if he wasn't going to be hitting 2nd again.

    I exhale. Even though four years is too many, IMO, it's better than any years to Eckstein.

    I still would have rather have made an attempt for Iguchi but I know who our GM is and I know what nationality Iguchi is.

    Sometimes you can't see two inches in front of your nose. Don't you remember how upset Johan Santana was with Minn. last year after they traded Luis Castillo to the Mets. They are very good friends and puts another chip in the Mets pocket to show Santana.

    a little off subject but why was glavine in such a hurry to get out of NY..... what the hell was going on behind the scenes/in the locker room that made him collapse the last game and now scoot out of town so quick???
