    If all that was true then why didn't he just sign the deal when it was first offered?...lol

    There wasn't anyway. The deal never changed. Kind of like The Yankees and Rivera.

    It ISN'T that big a difference. At the end of this deal Lowell will be able to get at LEAST a one year deal SOMEWHERE. Even if it was for just $6 million, that's a total of $43 million over 4 years as opposed to $50 million over 4 years. In the end, it just isn't a significant difference.
